We arrived about 30 minutes before the 1100am tour and it was great timing- many of the blue iguanas were out sunning themselves. The tour-guide was informative and passionate about the recovery program, which had hundreds of iguanas in the park and has nursed the...More

Great tour, great guide...where science and emotion meet. The facility was very interesting...the guide was fantastic and loved each Iguana he introduced us to. Learned a lot. Great cause... we all loved it! Was not sunny so Iguanas appeared less blue but still amazing animals!

We took this tour with typical teenagers and they were impressed !!! Alberto is passionate about the programme and you leave knowing the Blue Iguana programme is safe in his hands. Don’t expect a polished, state of the art zoo - it is built with...More

Trip Advisor does not allow users to distinguish between the safari tour in a different location, available only on limited days, and the Blue Iguana Recovery Program facilities tour at the QEII Botanical Park. We did the latter tour, and it was well worth it....More

We really enjoyed the gardens but seeing the Blue Iguanas and learning about them and the efforts being made to save them was what made this day so great! Our guide was so passionate about the iguanas! Well worth the trip and the money!

Wanted to see a Blue Iguana and this is really the only place you can see them, they're very beautiful and well worth seeing, the guide is very informative and we learnt a lot. Definitely worth a visit.

This is the only way to really see the iguanas and learn about them. Yes, there are iguanas roaming the park, but you will need to get lucky. Otherwise there are only some very small windows in a fence to look at enclosures to see...More

We only saw a couple of iguanas. We didn't know they only did the tour of iguana pins once a day, so we missed it and just walked through the area. Not much to see. We see 3 iguanas on our walk. Wish we would...More

They were not blue the day we went on the tour, the cages and conditions of the breeding program area were not the most desirable. The guide was great, the idea of a re populating breeding program great, but for the price the tour was...More

We really enjoyed this walk through of the Iguana recovery area. Our host Alberto is the Warden of the program and offered much insight on the history of the Blue Iguana's plight over the history of the island. If you visit the east end I...More

not sure where sfairborn was but the Iguana recovery site is all locked up. It can only be seen with a guide. You can walk around the botanical gardens on your own and you may see an iguana but the re-introduction program is... More

Try asking if the city bus goes out there. The buses do not have "bus stops" beyond downtown, just stand on the shoulder of the road and give the driver a wavy and they will pick you up.
