Enjoyed a great day with Adriaan going from Cape town to Breedekloof area wineries. Adriaan was well organized and efficient, and the tour even managed to keep a 14 and 16 year old mentally engaged. Wonderful scenery, excellent wine and food. This tour was a bit farther out of the city than Stellenbosch/Paarl, but worth it. Jason's Hill and Merwide were definitely our favorites for wine.

You won't be disappointed with Cape to Grape. Thanks again Adriaan!

Excellent experience, thoroughly recommend.
Adriaan is a fantastic guide with a great knowledge of the local area having grown up there and he really knows his wine.
He took us on a great tour of 5 vineyards and nothing was too much trouble for him so if you want to go on a tour and taste some of the best wines the region has, then book cape to grape.

Despite not having a good night's rest, i had a really good time on the Breedekloof wine region. Adrian was an awesome guide. While I am not going to mention the winery names. the family owned wineries were better than the coop wineries.

Last month we had the good fortune to go on an all day wine tour of the Breedekloof Valley. (The valley is accessed via the N1 highway heading north east out of of Cape Town). The tour was conducted by Adriann, a former winery employee who grew up in the Breedekloof Valley.

We visited five wineries, most of which have recently produced award winning wines. Since only a few people visit the area, it was possible for each of the individuals presenting the wines to tailor their remarks to the interests of our group of three tasting the wines. And thanks to Adriann's experience in the wine business, we got some interesting tips on how professionals evaluate their wines.

We were quite surprised by the quality of the wines being produced in the region. Later in our visit to South Africa (SA), we learned from folks familar with SA's wine industry that Breedekloof is considered an up and coming producer of quality wines. In addition, the surrounding mountains make it a beautiful area to visit.

Excellent wine tour pitched at just the right level. Great guide and some superb wineries that give as much detail needed for a one day tour. Considered a private tour but the small group catered for exactly what I was looking for in the day.

By far the best choice if you are interested in a luxury tour with a friendly and extremely informative guide. My friend and i had a perfect day sipping many great wines and tasting cheese while enjoying the breathtaking scenery of the cape. Thanks Adriaan for one of the best experiences I had in SA!

To kick off our round the world trip, we had two weeks in South Africa. We literally booked up every single minute and only had a half day left that we could squeeze a wine tour in.

Adriaan was on the end of every email instantly trying to help us fit a tailored version of the tour in. We arranged for him to meet us at the harbour after our trip to Robben Island. The Ferry was an hour late but Adriaan was still there waiting with a smile on his face. We visited two great farms with cheese tasting included. Everything thats on his website or leaflet is true to the word and I would recommend his service to anyone.

Later after the tour we enjoyed drinks as friends with his family which I thought was a very personal touch.

If we ever go to South Africa again, we shall be looking him up to do the full day.

Thank you Adriaan

We had a great wine tour with Cape to Grape. Adriaan was very knowledgeable and made our visits to the various wineries fun and interesting. I'd thoroughly recommend Cape to Grape if you want a good day out as well as enjoying and learning about some fantastic SA wines.

We booked a month in advance and flew in to Cape Town especially to do a full day wine tour. I had done a wine tour with Cape to Grape two years ago and so invited my gf and her friend to Cape Town specifically to do this tour. My gf flew in from Tanzania and her friend from Hong Kong (!).

After waiting in our hotel for an hour past the pick up time we called the Cape to Grape office number and got Adriaan (the owner and our guide) at his desk. He seemed surprised that we had a tour booked and had no recollection of our booking (he had clearly forgotten). After explaining that we were waiting for him he told us there was a problem with his car and he would be with us in half an hour. This was a clear lie (why would he not have called or emailed unless he had forgotten). Nonetheless, we continued to wait at our hotel and confirmed to him the address.

After calling him constantly and emailing him (he replied multiple times saying he was on his way) we still were left waiting. We finally reached him on the phone 3 hours after he original pick up time. He said he was at home and asked where we were?! We told him we were still at the hotel waiting for him as we had been all along! He said that he would leave his home and was on his way. We said this was ridiculous and waited another half an hour. He didn't turn up. I'm pretty sure he had been drinking as he kept repeating himself and kept asking where we were and saying he was on his way. And yet 3 and a half hours after the collection time he didn't turn up. Absolutely livid. We had come to Cape Town specifically for this tour at significant expense. I was really embarrassed in front of my guests. In the end we did a half day wine tour with African Eagle wine tours, who came and collected us at short notice and apologised profusely for their competitors' lack of professionalism. Do not use. Appalling.

Dear James Firstly I would like to get it off my heart and move on. I understand completely for not showing up on Monday for your tour. There were no excuse for this incident, it was very unprofessional and unacceptable! After you have book a month in advance it was inappropriate for not showing up. You have been on my tour previously and this is why you will be very disappointed and embarrassed in front of your guest's and myself! You have all the right to write a review about your experience on Monday. I am deeply disappointed in myself. This is not my standards! I truly hope you can forgive me for what have happened. You have been looking so much forward to do this tour again, and so your guest's. It will be my great honor to send you a few bottle of vintage wines for my apologies and hopefully next time when you are visiting Cape Town, I will take you guys on a complimentary free wine tour! I will send you a private email to your personal email address later this weekend. Have safe travels Kind Regards Adriaan Vorster

My wife and I have done many wine tours around the world and we both agree that this tour was by far the best ever! Adriaan was friendly, amusing and very knowledgeable about the wine making process and about the history of the local vineyards we visited. We were picked up from our accommodation early and this meant that we had time for an extra tour inside the first winery. We went to five vineyards over the course of the day, tasting 5/6 wines each time along with cheeses, chocolate and olives. Durbanville Hills, Fairview, Spice Route, Beyerskloof and Tokara wineries were all beautifully situated with very welcoming staff and no pressure to buy! Lunch at Beyerskloof was a tasty burger with a wonderful Pinotage and onion relish. We stopped in lStelenbosch on the way back to view the town and to shop at the locally famous Oom Samte se Winkel store which had some lovely local artefacts and other items for sale. It was after 6.00pm when we eventually arrived back at our accommodation having had a wonderful day with our new friend Adriaan. We had a private tour at a price which was well below what other companies charge for a group tour. Excellent value for money and a thoroughly recommended tour. Thanks Adriaan.
