About
Our marina is the perfect place to begin a day of adventure, sailing in your yacht, touring the beautiful shores of the Dominican Republic, fishing and exploring the treasures of our island to return to our safe harbor, your home, Cap Cana. Marina Cap Cana offers over 130 slips, accommodating up to 150 ft. yachts, with complete services for captains and crew. Its coastlines and proximity are considered among the best spots in the world for fishing and deep-water diving. The Marina has been the scene of world-famous fishing tournaments and has become a popular destination among those who enjoy fishing, and breaking records. Due to the inland construction of the marina it is a protected harbor, providing an additional amenity during hurricane season.

For tourist trying to explore the area it's difficult. Had to make a restaurant reservation before being allowed in. After 30 minutes of waiting and trying to book we eventually was allowed in but there was no signage to find the places to eat so ended up lost. I'd imagine many people would just get upset for the difficulty and not enter.. seeing as it's supposed to be a tourist area they make it hard .

We visited the southern side of the Marina in March 2022. As others have written, it is a ghost town. A bunch of condo buildings and very few businesses. I think we saw two shops, and one restaurant that was actually open. Not what we expected but I guess we should have read the other reviews first. Very disappointing. In fact, we were the only people walking around other than a few construction workers and what I think were residents. Very bleak. I guess maybe if you are going out deep-sea fishing it is of course useful. But that's it.

Nice marina with few boats. The shopping area was half-closed. The nightclub, they say, is almost never open. There were a few restaurants, 3 gift/ convenience stores, a pharmacy open, and a church. The area is adjacent to Ancora Fishing Lodge.

We stayed at the Hyatt Zilara, not far away, and decided to make a visit. The area is overall beautiful, but in was a Wednesday and nothing really open. We did a lot of walking around, but ultimately left after seeing all that was

One of the most beautiful marinas I visited, not only for the structure, but also for the lush color of the sea. Simply wonderful!

We were staying nearby (AirBnb-Aquamarina Penthouse). The views of the marina are beautiful but it's a ghost town and you'll only see a few employees walking the grounds. There were shops open at random times of the day (a small market and a pizza place) but other than that, nothing is there which was a disappointment for our group. It has a lot of potential but don't expect to find anything open.

Not sure if this is the right place to review this stop I cant find anything else. We tendered from cruise ship to this port to be greeted by performers on stilts. They had a free show which was over an hour long and was the best show I have ever seen. It was part circus and part cultural. Definately worth paying for but it was FREE and they did not expect any donations. The seating was concrete so bring padding. The port area was all man made and in the process of building more. Nothing is authenic. I am very glad we left the ship to see the show. I noticed they had a couple of tours offered for beach and site seeing that was much less expensive than the ship shore excursions.

Great place to vacation - we are staying in a beautiful oceanfront condo (Air B&B) with GORGEOUS view from deck. Steps from the condo are a few safe, gorgeous white sand beaches with cabanas and chairs always available. The water is warm and clear, just amazing - we have gone in a few times a day and always have a beach to ourselves. The pools are lovely too, there are several to choose from so you can have one to yourself or visit one with other people and a bar. The gated community is safe and has many excellent restaurants to choose from - we visit Maralia at Api Beach every day for at least one meal, the food and service have been amazing every time. Our other favorite restaurant is in the Fishing Lodge a short drive away, Bohemian Tapas and Wine Bar - again, excellent food and service. We have been snorkeling/diving and golfing nearby, all outstanding. We are here on a quiet week which we love, it is so incredibly beautiful and everyone has been so friendly and helpful, highly recommend this destination!

So this place like much of Cap Cana just seems to have not built out like everyone expected. This has all the looks and feels of an amazing marina, it’s just missing all the people and business. There are a few good restaurants and a small market, but beyond that not much.

The one night we were there for dinner and the casino was open but like everything else didn’t look to have anyone in it. To give you a feeling of how dead this place was the sports bar didn’t look to have even been opened in weeks. And both times we were there it was never open.

Beyond the market there were one or two other shops that weren’t even open, in fact there was a sign on the one door saying if you need anything go to the market and they can open the shop for you.

As my wife said it is a very nice place and would be great for photo shoots as you would to have to deal with people.

If you are in Cap Cana stop by and get some food and enjoy a few of the nice boats. Hopefully sometime this place will build up cause it would a shame to see such a nice place go to ruins. I can’t imagine the operating cost to keep it is nice as they do with such little business will last long.
