I would nam this beach: The Palm Tree beach. Someone had planted a lot of young palm trees on the beach. It is truly attractive! On the right side, there was a rock with trees, no palm trees. Many sawm in the ocean. It was...More

We were not sure if it would be there as we heard it was taken down when not in use. It was with a bit of a fence around it. This is a lovely beach with clean water and not much litter around, unlike other...More

This was the best beach around. We stayed right near by and could walk there. Good food options and clean beach, always a breeze.

Perhaps the most beautiful beach in Guadeloupe, and the site of “Jack’s home” from TVs “Death in Paradise”. Turn right at the brown directional sign when heading south on route N1. It is about three miles before you get to Deshailes. There is free parking...More

Nice place to take a beach stroll or just hang out. The water was fairly calm and very clear. Got the pleasure of seeing the little beach shack set up for the filming of Death In Paradise!

In my opinion this is the best beach on Basse Terre. It's not all that busy, but is busy enough to support 4-5 restaurants towards the entrance. The shoreline is beautiful as can be seen from the pictures and the swimming safe enough for my...More

I loved this beach. Lots of shady spots, beautiful sandy shore stretching along the coast. Nice places to eat as well. It never seems to be busy!

Arguably the most popular beach on Basse Terre. It tends to be very crowded on weekends especially, not surprising, given its natural beauty. Several small restaurants availible.

Yes - it's the Death in Paradise Beach......... (the hut location is near the middle of the beach and they seem to film a lot of other scenes on or nearby). But.....It's a really lovely beach. Almost deserted. Could park easily. Massive great sandy expanse,...More

Hi, the house is built up only for when the film crew is here. The film crew is here during spring/summer, meaning the house will not be here in January.

Yes, it was a 2 mins walk on the beach ( to your left) , you can always ask the local restaurants if unsure.
