This was such a great experience! Cruising thru bushland and getting a sense of what the first explorers of this area had to deal with as they opened up this bushland. This is a must do tourist spot in the Derwent Valley.

We went to mt.field for a picnic and noticed that Railtrack riders had an adventure here. It was lots of fun: the quad bike was there to keep you going, pushing enough to keep it challenging but still enjoyable.

What a fantastic use of old railroad tracks. While it is hard going pedaling for the kids they had a great time, and the bike following us helped out when our legs got tired from pedaling. The walk halfway through was a nice short break. Staff were extremely friendly, we had a wheelchair user with us and they were very... More

Have a 60 minute rail track ride with John & George. Very simple fun with peddle powered rail cars but a helping hand from a quad bike behind on hills when needed. Nice forest walk at half way point while rail cars are turned around for return trip. Very affordable and great family fun. Highly recommended.

We stopped at Railtrack Riders in Maydena about a month ago after hearing about it from a friend a few weeks prior who had recommended w e make the stop. It was a very interesting way to see nature up close while getting a bit of a workout and using existing or reusing tracks already there. Lots of fun and... More

Cannot recommend this attraction enough. We rode from Maydena to the Florentine end. Our young guide was lovely and knowledgeable, we never felt rushed and he was great with the kids. I couldn't keep up with my husband peddling, so made do with a push along, which was relaxing and fun. The children's discovery walk at the end of the... More

I hadn't actually read or heard about Railtrack Riders before travelling to Maydena. My daughter and I happened to be driving along the road and saw some people on bikes on the rail way track. We wondered, huh?! Then as we were driving to Junee Cave we came across their sign and thought we'd try our luck if there was... More

This is a great little community funded venture - were you hire a pedal rail track car and travel along the old rail track - through some very nice bushland and Forrest areas, you can stop and take photos along the way, there's lots to see. The guide was very good & interesting to talk to about the local area.... More

Good fun, great way to see the area and the native Chris knows the track well and will give you a helping hand just when it's needed. Bucket list worthy.
