- Lynette CHereford, United Kingdom37 contributionsSecond visitThis was our second trip to Crocodiles of the world (previously visited over 12-18 months ago) kids really wanting to go back, we had to prebook and wasn’t sure what to expect in this current climate, however didn’t need to worry because we had to wait until the entry monitor lit green and then we were able to go in, staff took our contact details for track and trace, one way system was extremely well organised and social distancing was well observed, face coverings are a must even in the crocodile house, even though it was extremely humid it was still bearable, fascinating to see all the crocodiles again and read the rescue stories on the wall was heart touching to say the least, good to see that they had the giant tortoises as they are a new addition from our last visit. Unfortunately no feeding sessions, animal talks or having the photo opportunity with the baby croc , however in the current climate we understand why these have been suspended. We spent roughly 1 1/2 - 2hrs getting around and you could go round as many times as you wished, Never got to eat in the cafe but did get a glimpse of food and drink on sale and prices seemed very reasonable. Lots of hand sanitising stations placed around the area and lots of notices encouraging social distancing as well as very clean toilet facilities.Visited September 2020Traveled with familyWritten September 26, 2020
- Mary BBirmingham, United Kingdom4 contributionsWonderful day out with the croc mad familyWe booked a handling and feeding experience for my nieces 7th birthday and the rest of the family had general admission tickets, she adores Australia zoo and this is the closest she can get with the pandemic going on, the ticketing system was a bit tricky as the experience was bookable well in advance but general tickets dates were not released that far ahead. The staff were all friendly, great with the kids and happy to help and answer all our questions about the animals, the one-way system worked well we got to see all the wonderful animals without being crowed by other people we even got to go around again when my niece had finished her experience which lasted the best part of three hours. There was a great cafe on-site with more than reasonable prices for a place like this, there were ample tables well spaced outside and the food tasted amazing.Thank you very much for your kind review and we appreciate you taking the time to write it. - RJLN1Marlborough, United Kingdom215 contributionsGreat experienceI was really impressed with our visit today, 2 adults and 2 children aged 10 and 8. We got our daughter the Komodo dragon experience for her Christmas present and finally got to go. It was great and she really enjoyed it. Jamie the keeper was brilliant, really considerate, knowledgeable and friendly. She got to feed the dragon and set up enrichment in his enclosure. I thought the place was well set up for Covid with a one way system, plenty of sanitizers and wasn't too busy and you can go round as many times as you want. We went to the afternoon session and arrived 30 minutes before the start meaning we got in straight away at front of the queue. We spent 2 hours overall there and I thought it was good value for money, it's a small specialist zoo but that's reflected in the cost. All the staff were friendly, the place was clean and well maintained. We'll definitely come back again.Thank you very much for your kind review and we appreciate you taking the time to write it. Visited today with my husband and 2 children 8 and 4!
I booked the tickets online the day before so got a family ticket for £29 something which i thought was good ( this included the 10% donation)
Took us nearly an hour to get there, which again I knew but for a day out not too far out!
On arrival there was no free parking spaces, we drove around for ages on a pot hole, mud covered area. Until one did come available.
Although already paid online we still had to queue . We went on a Saturday and it was so busy! We didn’t arrive till 11:50 so didn’t expect queues to be so big (out the door)
Once inside we were given maps and feeding times/talks timetables . We luckily were able to sit in on both the talks and see the crocs being fed!
Lunchtime! Cafe is far too small and over priced . £5.25 for a baguette should have gone to Tesco and got a meal deal , coffee hardly warm , small cups and costing £2.75! And a bottle of coke £2.10 It’s a shame the bigger meals did look nice and was not too badly priced but there was literally 6 tables in the cafe all taken and I didn’t fancy sitting outside in storm Dennis !
I love crocs hence the visit but my children were not very interested ! They didn’t move or anything (not there fault but young kids like to see things happening )
Gift shop well!! The cheapest thing in there was £3 something ! All parents know it’s just a fad and by the time we get home the toy our children desperately needed at that time is no longer a huge part of there life !
Over all we were there 2 hours the same amount of time it took us to get there combined ...
shame as had high expectations.. oh well can always say been there done that

All our guest feedback is taken very seriously and used to ensure we are always improving and giving our customers the best possible experience when they visit us.
We have over 150 free parking spaces available to our customers but as we are a very popular attraction unfortunately our car park can become full on our busier days however this is the same as most popular attractions and venues. On our busier days we do have parking assistants who are there to try and get you a space as quick as possible and ensure that the car park can take the maximum amount of car possible.
On busy days and especially during school holidays there will be some occasions when small queues are at our entrance but this is the same as any other popular visitor attraction. All our staff try to be as quick and efficient as possible in getting customers seen to and in to the zoo.
We are aware that the café is small and currently has a very limited number of inside tables and seating. As the Zoo and our visitor numbers have grown unfortunately the size of our café has started to become an issue and for this reason, we have decided to build a brand new much larger one.
Our new café will have a wider menu choice as well as indoor seating for over 80 customers as well as additional toilet facilities.
We are also in the process of putting in an extra catering outlet on the property to offer even more choice and hopefully reduce queuing and waiting times. This is a large project so will take time and we hope to have it all completed by the end of the year.
We offer items on our menu to cover all budgets with freshly made sandwiches starting from £2.99. Our hot drinks are brewed fresh and made to order so my apologies it seems you had only a warm cup of coffee as this is defiantly not the case normally.
Again our gift shop has products starting from less than £1.00 in order for us to try and offer something for all budgets.
Thank you again and we hope you will visit us again soon.

Me and my adult daughter took part in the Komodo Dragon feeding experience and I would highly recommend it. Our keeper Chris was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and made the whole thing great fun. We got to see Batu up close and feed him a variety of interesting food as well as going behind the scenes and seeing inside the enclosure.
The rest of the zoo was very busy and we didn’t get to see things as well as on previous visits but the staff have done everything possible to make it COVID safe, it’s just a pity some of the other visitors don’t seem to understand the meaning of social distancing!
The staff we met, were all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and doing as much as possible to keep people safe.

We spent a lovely morning here.
The Crocodiles were fed whilst we were there and also the Meerkats.
The areas were the crocs are, are exceptionally hot and humid, but this is balanced by the outdoor area, where the Meerkats, Otters and Cotton-Headed Tamarins and other animals are housed.
There is a cafe tucked away at the side of first hall of Crocodiles, there is also another large area with Crocodiles to the left as you come in, be sure to visit this as the feeding time here is very interesting.
The staff were also very good at answering questions, and there were several talks as we went round the animal exhibits.
I recommend a visit here, beware your camera can mist up due to the humidity, but a mobile phone gets good pictures here.

This was the first time we had visited, and were surprised at how small it was. The crocs and other poor reptiles were mostly in small, gloomy enclosures. I felt very sorry for them. Most of it is enclosed, and the heating is on, so in hot weather it is very uncomfortable and a covid risk. There is a one way system, but it is poorly signed and not always used. There are very few hand washing facilities and no hand sanitisers that I saw. Social distancing is non existant because there just isn't the space. The playground is again pretty small and gets very crowded. You would think places like this would limit the amount of visitors at the moment, but it seemed really busy and I wouldn't have gone if I'd known it would be so packed. We were lucky to get a table to eat our lunch, but had to que for 10 minutes to order food, then waited over 30 minutes for it to arrive - it was tasty enough but very basic. I would say to bring a picnic, but there's so few seats and no where else to sit, so you'd have to go back out and sit in your car. Maybe during the week in school term time it is quieter. The best bit was the end, when my kids explored the wilderness beyond the car park and got stuck in a bog. Overall, my kids did like it and saw some reptiles they havn't seen before, but as an adult concerned about covid, I wouldn't recommend it.

We really enjoyed our day out at Crocodiles of the World at the weekend. There was a huge variety of animals. I was quite apprehensive about the safety when we were stood above the crocodiles and alligator, and felt like they could have easily escaped had they wanted to. My other concern was the size of the enclosures, and we felt like the crocodiles didn't have enough room to swim - especially the 10+ nile crocodiles in the same enclosure. The cafe was great and reasonably priced, and for the £10 entry fee it's a great value for money day out

i booked the galapagos tortoise experience for the wife and i, first of all the staff were very friendly and accomodating all covid safety measures were adhered to. we went on sunday 27th june got there for ten had a good look around the croc enclosures which was very interesting clean with good info about each croc. Our tortoise experience was truly amazing, we were greeted by Harry very friendly chap and well informed about the galapagos tortoises, being so close touching the tortoises and feeding them was an amazing experience indeed, exclusive time in the enclosure with harry and the torts as only two of us booked in for 11 o clock experience so it was on with the wellies and gloves whilst getting our safety talk from Harry then straight to it. the tortoises are such an amazing species especially galapagos torts the experience was very relaxed and we had free range to pet and talk to all the torts as we wished whilst Harry was extremely knowledgable in the tortoise field. Would recommend to any one to see these creatures close up, very very enjoyable we would definately go and visit Dirk and his hareem again and the price goes to the upkeep and helps to keep these beautiful creatures alive for future generations to enjoy. A big big thank you to Harry keep up the good work Malcolm and Francesca

You don't see many proper crocodiles at zoos (maybe a 2ft cayman, but not a proper croc), so we were surprised to find this specialist crocodile centre about half an hour outside of Oxford- I'd assumed they were too difficult to look after. They have more than a dozen enclosures dedicated to crocodiles, as well as many other reptiles & animals, including otters, meerkats, wildcats, giant tortoises and an impressive Komodo Dragon. And there's regular feeding times so there's always some action to see. Parking and facilities are basic, but you'll probably only be there an hour or two (rather than a full day trip) so that's not a problem, and the entrance fees are pretty reasonable. If you want a good nearby venue for lunch I recommend the Upton Firehouse or Burford Garden Centre (both a 10min drive away).

My wife bought me an adult crocodile keeper experience and it was amazing and definitely worth it, I got to feel the Nile crocodiles as well as Trig, who is always up for a selfie. Definitely worth visiting if you are interested in crocodiles, alligators and other reptiles.
10/10 and will make the 3 hour journey to visit again. Amazing experience.

We are a family of 4 with 2 children aged 5 & 2. We really enjoyed our visit. Queued outside for about 10 minutes, then it wasn't too busy inside - although numbers are restricted due to social distancing. A good selection of crocodiles, all easy to see and mostly accessible views for young children. We all had a great time and enjoyed seeing the tortoises and other animals as much as the crocodiles. We took a packed lunch and ate in the picnic area, which is nice enough & spaced out to allow for covid rules. We got to see the Nile crocs being fed, which was a highlight.

Went there on a wet day in half term, so it was pretty busy. The place is not large and you need to take your time to make the most of it. Those who rush will be out again quickly. It is worth waiting to see the crocs get fed, but get there early and be aware that it is crowded and hot. The indoor rooms are very warm, whilst the contrast outside was a bit of a shock. Plenty of crocs and alligators to see, with other animals, but don't expect reptiles to move about much (except when being fed).
Biggest disappointment was the cafe, which was very small, very crowded and noisy, after checking it out a couple of times and fighting out way through it once, we gave up and went to McD's at Witney.
The place is relatively new and clearly growing, but may take a while to really get there.

Flat footwear, due to "decking" style walkways around the open enclosures, and some areas of uneven ground.

I would suggest a visit to Bourton-on-the-Water, for a walk along the river, shops and plenty of tea rooms & ice cream places. About 20 min drive from Crocs of the world, there's a large car park just down the river from Bourton centre - one of the busier nice places in the Costwolds.

I think i recall it was £11 for adults but not sure how much for children. Whilst covid is bothering us all you'll need to book to be assured of your visit. We booked & paid the same time a few days pre visit. It's a fascinating/educating few hours & there's a good cafe there but tables are outside now.
