Qingyuan city and Qingyuan county in the southernmost corner of Zhejiang near the border to Fujian are largely unknown real gems. Beautiful very green mountains, modern infrastructure, about 4...5 hours from Shanghai and plenty of things to do. There are many ancient and rebuilt covered bridges (Langqiao), Bamboo forests and bamboo products, all kinds of mushrooms, historical villages and super friendly people. I have been to many places in China but this is one of my top favorites
