About
We have a lovely little children's farm boasting a large array of cute, not so cute, small and not so small farm animals, so come and see what we have to show you. Visitors both young an old get enormous pleasure from meeting our animals. For many it's a way of transforming pictures they see in books into a living experience. If you fancy a rest, pop in for a delicious ice cream, a cold drink or steaming cup of hot chocolate.

This is a wonderful place to bring children and enjoy seeing a variety of different animals in a country farm setting. Included in the entry fee is a bucket of feed for the animals in colour coded cups so that it is easy to distinguish which feed is for each breed of animal. Although messy, it is best, if you can, to feed the animals by hand as they will try to snatch the whole cupful of feed given the chance, especially the goat’s. You can always go back to the counter for refills. There is no guide so you can spend as much time as you like going around the farm, all the pens are labelled with a guide to what feed they like, and a couple of the rabbit pens are accessible for children to pet the rabbits. There is also a sand pit and play area.
The restaurant has just started doing cream teas, which we enjoyed very much with plenty of sandwiches and cakes. The staff were attentive and friendly and we were very happy with the service. Well worth a visit.

We visited on Sat 30th Oct for the Halloween event which we booked back in early July. Predicting that it would be busiest in the morning, we arrived about 1pm and went round to see and feed the animals first, then to the pumpkin patch to select pumpkins to carve. There were still plenty of pumpkins available and it was nicely laid out with mini wheelbarrows for the kids and hay bales for photos.
We struggled a bit for available tools in the carving tent but managed but then I really struggled getting the large carved pumpkins to the car. It would have been great if there were wheelbarrows or trolleys or just some kind of help available as an adult on my own trying to carry big pumpkins through the field, the cafe and the car park, dodging crowds of people and little kids wandering into me. Unfortunately I just couldn’t manage them the whole way so had to hand one to my son in the car park who also couldn’t manage and dropped it and it split open!
We then went back on to experience the Spooky House, by then it was about 2.40pm and we still had to queue for 40 minutes to get in! It was supposed to close at 3.30pm but I did see that at least they extended that as there was no way everyone could get round it by then. That was fun but it was just so busy and even late afternoon there were no tables by the play area so we gave up by then and went home.
It was a fun outing but it did feel too busy and people did seem to just be turning up and booking the spooky house etc on the day. Felt like the numbers could have been managed a bit better but the overall experience was well done.

This place is fantastic! Today was our first visit and we loved it.
Traveling 1hr to check this place out with 3 children (1 year old, 3 year old and a 14 year old) and so glad we did.
We started the day with the lamb feeding (£1 a bottle), moved around the farm with a couple of buckets of feed for the animals (£2 each) and enjoying the play area for the kids.
I wish to add that the entrance fee and extras were very reasonably priced as was the food in the cafe.
We have been to many places with the kids and I’ve got to mention that nowhere else provided as delicious and well priced food as Mini meadows farm. We actually had proper cooked food! It was great. The service and staff here were also fantastic and were so happy to hear of our wonderful experience showing genuine pride for their place of work which was wonderful to see.
This really is a fantastic place and we easily spent 3 and a half hours here. If we didn’t have to leave to miss the traffic we would have stayed an extra hour at least.
Check this place out… it’s great!!

We visited the farm post lockdown, purchasing a morning session ticket. The whole farm is well organised, with a well signposted one-way system and plenty of hand sanitisers.
As usual, animal food is colour coded to help feed the correct food to the animals and our little one enjoyed being able to go in with the rabbits and Guinea pigs.
Numbers have been reduced so there was no queuing for anything and plenty of space to play in the sandpit and play area. We forgot our own buckets and spades so make sure to pack them.
Everyone that wanted a table to eat could get one and, even though it drizzled with rain for a while, we could spend time indoors then.
All in all, well done to the owners and staff for a fab experience. We will definitely be back.

The staff at Mini Meadows gave Donna and Matthew a wonderful morning when Matthew proposed with the help of Maise!.
Everything was perfect and staff went out of their way to ensure the perfect experience.
Time taken emailing back and forth, Masie dressed with the ring securely round her neck in a home made cow bell box, a table in the cafe decorated with engagement gifts and free drinks and breakfast.
Grateful thanks for all you did and generously gave to Donna and Matthew, it really was a very special morning.
Lovely farm, lovely staff, lovely animals. Highly recommended.

Visited Weds this week and just had the best 3 hours of fun for only £5! Ideal for both children and adults with many photo opportunities along the way. Highly recommend purchasing the very reasonably priced food bucket – makes the animals even more super friendly. We made new friends with a great selection of not just farm animals but llamas, alpacas, emus and adorable chipmunks. There are even pens for you to enter to stroke the rabbits. Well organised and COVID-19 safe (mostly outdoors). Well worth a visit – you'll want to go again and again!

Lovely little farm to pop in and visit. Great set up , plenty of parking, and a great system of colour coded pots of animal feed to give to different animals. Just 2 points to make this place even better; there is no entrance sign or welcome sign at all on the building so when you've parked if you're a first time visitor you might not no where to go as the entrance is actually through the cafe which may not seem obvious to some. A big sign would be useful, it was the first thing we noticed it lacked. Also no sign made it feel unwelcoming. Secondly please add chips to the menu!

Many thanks for your review, we are of course delighted that you had a great time. Your note about the sign on the building - that is a new extension which is not finished yet, naturally a sign will be up in due course.

Absolutely outstanding. £35 quid for 5 of us and you get to see loads of animals, including infants, two play areas, free parking and you can eat your own lunch there. Great value. Sure you can load up on add ons and extras but a great day out for the kids.

We visited today on what was the first day opened to the public post lockdown. It was fantastic. So well organised with just the right amount of people allowed in to make those anxious feel reassured. Super friendly staff. My children didn’t want to leave!! Well done mini meadows, we will absolutely be back!!

Me and my fiancé came today. It was nice to feed the animals and they were well looked after on the whole. I will say I don’t agree that anyone can walk in and out of the Guinea pig/rabbit enclosures as they please. I think this is very invasive on their space and they mustn’t get any time there not being bothered. The donkey outside looked very out of it maybe because of the heat and didn’t see any outdoor staff checking on the animals/cleaning the water.

If we book a Christmas experience for 1600 can we enter the park earlier like at 1400 or only at time the experience is booked?

Hi
I didn't think they charged for under 2 years old?

I’m pretty sure my 2 year old was free to enter when I took him a couple of months ago....
What does the website say? Or maybe email the farm direct - I think the owner is called Ben.... to ask for clarification....

Is this mostly outdoors? And is it still worth going if it’s raining?

Yes mostly outdoors but they do have large play centre in doors as well as a cafe, also there are some animals indoors such as rabbits and gerbils that you can pet.

My niece is 7 and she loved it-both the animals and the indoor play area. The 6 year old and the 4 year old will love it. It can get a bit muddy around the outdoor bits bu the inside areas are accessible. The toilets are alos very good! If the older children have an interest in animals, they will enjoy it (and they will also probably enjoy the indoor play area!). If they are children who prefer games/technology, they might not be too engaged. However, it is amazing how even older children who might not seem like they enjoy animals will become very excited when they actually get to touch and interact with them!

is it ok to bring our cocker spaniel on a lead?. He is very friendly, (no aggression at all) and lives at home with a house rabbit - the rabbit is the dominant one of the two! Kindest Regards Linda

I would suggest you leave your dog at home. With animals you never know if you are introducing disease or bugs into the farm environment. Would you take your dog to London Zoo? I certainly wouldn't. You also run the risk of frightening the petting animals - the mire I think about this, the more the answer is leave your dog at home. Hope this helps.
