Very attractive for families, especially in hot days. The trail inside the cave is comfortable and shows many kinds of stalactites. There are 150 stairs from the gate to the cave, but it's nice walk with views
After climbing down over 400 steps, the experience of walking through the cave made the 400 steps back up, worthwhile. The cave had magnificent stalactite/stalagmites. Scheduled tours in Hebrew or English were spaced out so the cave was not crowded nor defaced by crowds. Structures...More

take the shuttle from the old train station in Jerusalem to the Ashpatot gate. it's free.
then walk eastward and you will find a nice spot to take some pics. there is a path down to the tomb. it an easy and short walk.
