About
Located high in the Judean Hills, our vineyard has a wide range of small parcels varying in elevation and soils, such as Moza Marl, Terra-Rosa and deep bands of limestone. Consequently, grape varieties are planted according to their optimized needs. This natural variation gives birth to an array of terroirs, which create wines of great complexity and longevity. Our tasting room is conveniently located between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. We offer a guided tasting of wines, by appointment only.

We had an excellent experience at tzora winery! Only a 30 minute drive from Jerusalem. There were beautiful views! We were a family of two grandparents and two young adults and we all enjoyed. There was a brief introduction to the winery and vineyards. Then we tasted 4 wines and ate bread and cheese. Altogether it lasted about 1.5 hours. The guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions fully. The staff was kind and hospitable. Would highly recommend as a half-day excursion from Jerusalem!

We visit the Tzora Vineyards at list twice a year for wine tasting (and buying) events. The wines are fantastic and the events are always beautifully done. On casual visits you can purchase wine and cheese (excellent quality) platter and sit in the garden for a light and delightful meal. The staff is very friendly and informative. There are other places to visit in this historical area so that you can make a full day of it. I recommend visiting their internet site for more information.

Had been told many times by colleagues, Tzora has high quality Israel wines. We visited there at a beautiful sunny Friday noon, the place looks friendly to me, just like my place, a natural countryside. Although we didn't have a reservation of wine tasting course, just stop by and jump in. The staff are very friendly and arrange us seats, then we had a wonderful afternoon, we tasted and learned about Tzora wines. And of course, we bought few bottles of favorite red wine, white wine, ice wine. This is so good to visit Tzora Vineyard. We will visit next time.

This small and exclusive winery was very welcoming and had an interesting story. We spent about 45 mins tasting, talking and snacking. Lovely setting,

Tzora is one of Israel's most acclaimed and awarded wineries.
You get a great historical overview of the vineyard as well as a great tasting of wine & cheese. (5 stars for the tasting and historical overview)
The only downside is that you will not be touring the winery - this is strictly a tasting. (Hence the 4 stars instead of 5)
Was excited to buy 2 bottles of their highly rated Misty Hills wine - will be more excited to drink it!

We were advised by Wine Spectator to visit the winery. The staff was great, I believe she was from Australia ? WE tasted four wines and even brought one back, Misty Hills, for Dinner.
Enjoyed the Shore-sh white.
The wine maker does a beautiful job.

We visited Tzora Vineyards with Israel Wine Tours. I had said I am a fan of sweet wines and our guide recommended this winery saying they had an Ice wine (a variety of sweet wine). The biggest selling point of this winery is it was run by Ronnie James, the first boutique winemaker in Isreal, he proved a grower could open and operate a small winery, this lead to a revolution in Israeli wine industry. Now their winemaker Eran Pick is the only Master of Wine from Israel. Although we didn’t get to meet him, we were graciously hosted by the team. We had a taste of 4 of their wines along with cheese and bread. I really like Judean Hills collection, unfortunately, the bottle I wanted was not for sale. Their reception area is well made with some beautiful pictures taken of their vineyards. I didn’t realize that grapes are picked at night to preserve their taste until I looked at a picture of grape picking with torches. They produce among the finest wines in Israel, with there wines scoring high among the best wine taster. Accordingly, their prices are little higher than other wineries.

Pretty little flower garden and nice atmosphere for tasting room however at 60 NIS per person/ $15.60 USD) this was an overpriced tasting.
We did not have reservations to taste and were squeezed in and then rushed.
In front of our small group they placed small pieces of two types of locally made cheese, bread and olive oil. We assumed that they were going to tell us something about the cheese or which wine to pair with the cheese however after we were given a very small amount to taste of 5 wines, 1 white, 3 red and a dessert wine, the cheese still remained in front of us, we had to ask if we could try it. Our host then explained that we could of tasted it while we had the wine...not what we expected...if they had to rush and not give a proper tasting we should have been encouraged to come back another time with a reservation (which we did not realize we needed).
The wine was OK however we felt overpriced for the quality.
Later we were told that if you purchased a bottle 30 NIS of your tasting price is applied to the purchase of one bottle...still not worth purchasing one of the ones we tried.

If you have only one winery to visit in Israel make sure this is the one. People at the winery were super nice, very knowledgeable bout wines, and passionate about their brand. On top of it all, the Tzora lineup of wines, both reds and whites, were terrific.

My friends and I spent some good time here while tasting 4 wines: white Judean Hills 2018, red Judean Hills 2017, red Shoresh 2017, and dessert Or 2017. All high quality wines, Shoresh was my favorite. In general I think the reds would benefit if they let them age a bit more, but I understood they have high demand and are pushed by the distributors. They should also consider having a complementary tour in their vineyards, although it was too hot for that when we were there.
