This is a calming trip along the river Stour. We saw herons, kingfishers, lots of swans, mallards and a lone moorhen and grey wagtail. The electric motor means the boat is very quiet and the engine can be cut so we drift past the birds...More
Advised to book for this hidden gem of a trip ! Well worth the £9 for adult £5 for children. Takes one hour approximately but gentle cruise up the river Stour - we had only 5 in the boat and the Tour guide Peter was...More

My husband, sister & I so enjoyed our trip in the clean electric boat up the river Stour. It was wonderful to see the herons & kingfishers in their summer glory. This relaxing, peaceful experience far from the madding crowds is a delight !
My husband and I visited on a Sunday, the boat was full (12 passengers) but we had plenty of room to sit comfortably.
We found it so peaceful and we felt very relaxed afterwards.
Will definitely be going again.
Hired the trip for a group, absolutely lovely experience. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful trip up the river - it's a very quiet boat and a few times Peter cut the motor so we could better hear the birdsong.
Very pleasant boat trip along the River Stour. Nice scenery and very tranquil. Great way to spend an hour for friends and family who are visiting. Peter who is one of the guides, was very friendly and informative. Will definitely go again.
