One of my favourite places in the area. Hardly any tourists, compact but interesting museum, impeccably well kept park, stunning 360" views and impressive "ruins" :) make it very enjoyable trip.

Unfortunately, the site remains closed. We did not know about that and stopped by (Dec 29) to enjoy the fence and written apologies. It is unclear when and if this site will be reopened. It does not look if it is going to happen any...More

We parked up at 2pm on Thursday 20th December and it was closed due to lack of personnel. It doesn’t say if orwhen it will reopen, this includes the museum and the stadium. Absolutely gutted as had driven a long long way to see this.

Large and very interesting site with useful information boards and a small informative visitor centre. Lots to see if you have enough time, it would take 2 - 3 hours to see most of what is available.

What an amazing, extraordinairy experience. A "hidden" treasure in the Peloponesos. A "must"-see. The sanctuary of Zeus at Nemea developed in the beginning of the 6th century BC, with the institution of the Panhellenic Nemean Games in a region where human activity had been present since...More

We visited Ancient Nemea in July and it is a beautiful place with an interesting story. Don't miss the ancient stadium where the held the Nemean games. There are not many visitors and that makes it very peaceful.

Really interesting site. The temple of Zeus is great and so is the running track. The museum is also very helpful, and the coin display demonstrating the geography of the place of origin for the coin is a particular highlight.

The main attraction was the temple to Nemean Zeus which has been restored from 3 to 9 columns since 1980 by the Americans. The workshop and machinery are still there as is their work in progress. The big attraction for me was that this was...More

As i drove into the outskirts of Nemea i stopped and pulled over for some photos - it was a lovely morning scene with the columns of the temple standing tall amongst the trees. But I saw a sign for the stadium which I knew...More
