this attraction has a pink church inside that was converted into a museum that contain lots of artefacts and antiquated memorabilia way back the spanish era. you can spend a lot of time roaming inside this place before you head towards the picnic grounds submerged in water.
to get to the dining area, you need to ride a carabao wagon for about 5 minutes or longer depending on your whim to take pictures along the way. locals would ride with you to serenade you with folk songs that our foreign guests could not understand but was clapping and foot tapping with the rhythm just the same.
the fun part was the lunch. it was a gastronomic array of filipino dishes that could be enjoyed while listening to the rapture of the man-made waterfall and the feeling of the cold water on your feet. it was a different vibe that only villa escudero can offer.
a 30-minute cultural show capped our visit. it was fun and an exciting display of different dances around the country. the dancers and the audience both enjoyed the performance.
for a 1,800/head price, this is already reasonable. we could have opted to stay overnight but all rooms were booked during the weekend we visited.

My husband and I availed overnight stay which includes the full-day tour. We couldn't fully enjoy the day tour because of the rain. But the eating experience at the waterfalls is exotic. Probably one of the unique experiences for us. The next day we asked if there were free rides to tour the entire Villa but were told that there were none.
Nevertheless, it's worth trying especially if you are a big family.

The day tour was for P1600/person if you go on a weekend.
The activities included are:
1. Museum Tour
2. Carabao Ride
3. Lunch at the Waterfalls (drinks not included)
4. Cultural Show
5. Swimming at the pool
Good for a day tour. Plenty of quiet spaces.
The Cultural Show was good so you should watch it. However the coffee I ordered here was very very sweet!

Mark and Marlon were great! They drove me down to the plantation safely and Mark took me through the museum that had all sorts of artifacts that I never expected! There were real shrunken heads, dolls and money from all around the world, ancient things from before Christ (BC), taxidermy, a picture of Jesus made from the words of the bible (so small you needed a magnifying glass to see the words), Nazi gear, clothing worn by prominent figures, jewelry, collectibles (bugs, stamps, etc), and much more! Very exciting to see, although they didn’t allow pictures inside. Then we ate in the flowing water at picnic tables. Delicious food and fresh coconut juice. Very interesting experience!

The place look good and definitely a nice attraction but staff is so rude and no safety measures what so over unless its convenient for them myself and another family member fall on the stairs going to the rafting aria in the pool aria yet they didn’t offer any medical help just the safety ppl come to help me stand. the stairs going there have no rails or any nonskid material to prevent ppl from falling down. But they tell you to wear a shirt on the raft for safety reasons and your kids can’t be in the pool with you for safety reasons and any time they don’t want you to do something they tell your for safety reasons and they don’t have any ideas what is safety is

I’ve been in Villa Escudero in 2010, 2012 and 2022. No new activities or attractions were added. Same carabao ride, museum self-tour, swimming pool, cultural show and lunch menu. Pool though was improved and expanded. Faster service and better food choices and quality during cultural show. Better photo quality by official photographer. More items in the souvenir shop too. They added a covered dining hall which is nice for those who cannot go down the waterfalls to eat.
But I noticed staff was less friendly and smile less too.

I enjoyed our stay in Villa Escudero! My family had a great experience in riding the ba,mboo rafting and getting to eat near the waterfalls. We also watched the Philippine Experience Show and loved the food that were freshly served to us. The rooms were very comfortable and we have a great view in front of our room. Definitely a place to visit again!

I would like to call the attention of the management of Villa Escudero about the unpleasant incident we experienced in this popular resort. We took our visitors from Australia for a day tour in Villa Escudero. Everything went well and my visitors were delighted and impressed with the place. Upon arrival, we were offered a welcome drink "gulaman" which tasted so good. At the end of our tour, our guests requested for another glass of gulaman before leaving. I then approached the lady-staff who told me instantly that there is no more left of that drink. My Australian visitor unaware of my earlier inquiry went to ask the same lady to request for that drink and said lady produced 6 glasses of that cool drink instantly! I felt so infuriated. That was a clear case of client color preference! and to think that it is the filipino like me who paid for our tour and not my "white-colored" guests. The name of the staff is Nora Estiva and we are not coming back to this resort anymore!

I'm 59 years old and I could say that I traveled a lot internationally and local destination. Im the type of person who really won't take time to write a review, but this place really caught my attention and I had to share this to all so that they won't waste their time and money to visit this place. My family and I were in Villa Escudero for a holiday. At first, we were planning to stay overnight but it was just a full of dismay as we entered the place its so expensive but the rooms have smell because and the place is kinda old already. So we decided to take a day tour that comes with lunch amounting for 1,400.00 not bad because it included the lunch buffet, little did I know that the food served were just steamed different veggies, shrimp paste, grilled tilapia, grilled pork and pancit bihon, fried banana with brown sugar for dessert that surrounded with BIG FLIES and ants on it. we didn't touch the food even my 4 yr old grand daughter was so hungry. oh my god, we are human and not animals. we deserved to eat clean food. you have invested in a chaffing dish or a simple clear plastic cover or might as well assigned a person to take flies away using any improvised one. not just collect 1400 pesos each from 1,500 people that day!! you have earned 2 million plus that day and you couldn't provide a clean restroom, surroundings and even a so-so lunch.

Would like to know if you offer senior citizen discount and how much is the fee or price for a day tour. thanks.
Written April 2, 2019
we planned to have a day tour at Villa Escudero do you have senior citizen discount ?
What is the price for the day tour ? Thanks
Written April 2, 2019
Yes they have discount for senior citizen. The time we visit there is around 1500pp per head and it’s worth it and you will enjoy it.
Written September 1, 2019
Would not advise it for kinder students as the museum has many delicate pieces and the waterfall restaurant is not safe for them. I think it would be best for Grade 5 students and up.
