Banham Zoo Big Cat Experience
Oct 2021
I was brought a big Cat Experience for my 60th birthday, and oh my days it was FANTASTIC. I loved every moment the gentleman who looked after me was just brilliant answered all my questions and included my family who came to watch as much as possible. The Tiger, Snow Leopard, Cheetah, and the Sri Lankan leopard are just so beautiful.

The zoo was spotless in every area from around the grounds to the bathrooms the cafe lovely and food fantastic.

I love the certificate and photos on a memory stick just a wonderful touch. Thank you Banham zoo I had the best day a day I will cherish for many many years,

Trying to appeal to the wrong market
Sep 2021 • Family
We are annual pass holders and used to love coming to this zoo. Then they changed the restaurant from a family friendly cafe to an upmarket, expensive pizzeria. We visited last week and couldn't get any sandwiches or the kids lunch packs from the small kiosks as by 12:30 they had all sold out. I am very disappointed and feel that they are moving away from being family friendly.

Mullet man
Sep 2021
My favourite part of my visit to the zoo was the Parkside pizza. There was a lovely, very well presented young man that served us for lunch. He had a very cool style and fitted in very well with the environment. If i was the manager I would give that guy a raise. I particularly liked how his jeans were below his cheeks. A very pleasant view indeed!!! He was the highlight of my trip to the zoo and is the reason I would go again.
His mullet was very well cut and smelt very nice, 10/10 bonnet. Also nice creps my G, keep up the drip yo!

bad pizza restaurant
Sep 2021
the zoo was good but then restaurant was terrible. The pizzas state that they are stone baked and hand stretched. This is a lie!! I'm no professional chef but even I can realise that that was not home made, need to stop false advertising

Small but plenty to see and do

An enjoyable few hours wandering around. Felt safe regarding covid and the animals all had plenty of space to wander/live in.

Nice zoo, welcome wasn’t that great though!

This was our second visit here, having been a few years ago and enjoying that visit. Overall we enjoyed our day out, but I would say that perhaps a sign on the entrance door asking visitors to remain outside until called forward, rather than going into the shop would benefit visitors. We made the mistake of entering, and Adam the staff member who was at the till point seemed to revel in his officious power trip. He was really rude, and spoke to me like I was a child. We had only just arrived and Adam was the first member of staff we had encountered, so not all that welcoming and certainly not friendly. I really hope he got a refund from the charm school!

We were a bit disappointed that there was no land train, animal magic show and most of the feeding/talks were not on, with the park citing Covid as the reason. Bit of a shame really, as this isn’t reflected in the entrance price.

The enclosures are spacious, and most of the animals seemed content in their environment which was nice to see. We recommend catching the Birds of the World show, as that was fantastic! Harry the falconer was great; informative, personable and funny, he kept my three kids engaged throughout. Perhaps management could have him talk to Adam at the front desk and give him some pointers on how to be kind.

The small petting zoo was a hit with my three, as the goats were comical and happy to be petted. All of the feeding stations dotted around have been removed, again due to Covid, but we’ve been to other wildlife parks in the last year that are selling bags or boxes at the entrance, not sure why Banham isn’t doing this.

We visited the food court, just for coffee and it seemed nice, if a little pricey. We took a picnic, as there are plenty of benches around to use. Was a good day out, but I think we’d visit again in a few years, if we’re in the area.

Good Day Out

We visited Banham Zoo with a group of friends, at the time there were still limiting numbers into the zoo & booking on line is essential. Plenty to do & a top trumps trail to do for kids.
Please be aware the zoo is cashless.

Excellent Birds of the World display
Sep 2021 • Couples
We visited Banham Zoo for the first time in years, just after the schools had gone back. It was lovely and quiet. It is a small zoo and seems very well kept. The Birds of the World display by Sophie and Harry was very good and well worth seeing in both the morning and afternoon.

Shocked

Think it’s a little hypercritical for this company to be associated with the mental health organisation MIND, when a few years ago they actively strongly advised a member of their keeper staff to resign due to having time off for depression- or perhaps they have learnt their lesson.
