It is difficult to put in to words the atmosphere and aura of this place. Unassuming from the outside it is a well of deep spiritual enlightenment. Take time to sit and soak up the place.

There is something very special about this shrine. We stopped off to light a candle for our dearly departed. So glad we did.

The Anglican Shrine is absolutely fine for wheelchair users. Many of our church pilgrimages had wheelchair people, so no problem, for worship, or eating or accommodation. Don’t know about the Roman Catholic one.

Parking is difficult unless you have a disabled badge. Have you considered staying over? Nortons is situated in the grounds and offers food and accommodation, or there are B&B facilities locally.

There is a sign in the Anglican shrine saying assistance dogs only. We didn’t see any other dogs around there.
