Really nice local pub and restaurant

Here for a gathering of friends and their families. Great atmosphere until about 10pm and then it just died! Bar closed. Very odd end to the evening...

Staying just 100 yards up the road and popped in here for a drink then decided to come back for dinner. Typical pub grub but very tasty and huge portions. Dog friendly and lots of nooks and crannies with tables on different levels

We have often driven past the restaurant on our way into Lyndhurst. This time we thought we would stop and give it a try. So glad we did. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The menu is varied, very reasonably priced with some tasty home made dishes. Next time we are in the area we will be back to try... More

First visit here but won't be returning , staff are friendly and helpful but the food really lets it down , very bland and very expensive compared to other pubs visited

normal pub grub but slightly inflated prices. Very dull and dismal atmosphere, ok for holiday makers one off visit, but nothing to attract me as a local.

Good vegetarian options, the veggie fajitas are lovely, very big though! Nice place overall with friendly staff.

Arrived at 4PM and asked about the advertised (outside) carvery and was abruptly told it finishes at 3PM (their website says from 12and makes no mentions of finishing as 3). Checked with the rest of the group (6 in total) that we wanted to stay so we did. Placed order at the bar and waited. Two other parties received their... More

Last night camping at Ashurst, decided to give this place a go. Burgers were home made and good with unusual Pretzel buns, and large portions. Mackerel salad was also good but salad could have been more adventurous. Staff and service couldn't be faulted - very helpful. Pub is popular probably for portion sizes vs. cost compared to New Forest alternative... More

Have visited on several occasions with friends and sadly on every occasion the food has been poorly presented and is only adequate. The best thing on he menu are the Ice cream sundaes, you can't really get that wrong. Staff do not seen very welcoming, mainly young and rather aloof.
