Have enjoyed seeing the historical old and beautiful cathederal, the architecture and the frescoes. I also saw the old church in Vals and the frescoes there. I felt fortunate to be able to be able to visit these places and “feel” the history! My friends...More

This is a great place to visit. The cathedral is stunning and impressive. We parked easily and had lunch in a very tiny pleasant restaurant as we walked through the old Main Street. Really nice people.

The cloisters were built around the 12th century and are truly beautiful. Each column has a slightly different carving. The interior of the Cathedral features superb 12th century frescos.

Look round the church, especially the two oldest chapels ( Romanesque, with a door of one being excavated), then go out to beautiful quiet cloister and notice the different carvings on each column.

The cathedral is an impressive sight, and the surrounding village and hilltop 'palace' make for an awesome day trip. There are also a couple of great picnic spots if the weather is nice.

If you enjoy photographing historic buildings this worth a visit but I always find old churches and cathedrals damp and creepy and in the end I'm glad to get out for some fresh air.

We were the only people there early on Christmas Eve afternoon. The cathedral is really only the size of a biggish church but still has large amounts of original decoration on the ceilings and walls - beautiful paintings behind the main altar, contrasting with the...More

A quiet old building atop the hill that dominates this lovely old town. It is definitely worth a wander through but there is nothing that will knock your socks off.
