Thanks for your feedback! Unfortunately the great views of the observation center come with the downside of a steep climb! Thanks for hanging in there and we are happy you got some great shots of these beautiful birds!

Make reservations in advance, short tour of 1.5 hours, hardly any walking, fantastic way to see green macaws in the wild, after8 trips to Costa Rica, this was the best McCaw experience ever!

This was a highlight on our trip this year to Manzanillo! They work hard to monitor the macaw.They work without interfering to help establish a healthy population in the wild! It was beautiful to see these amazing birds fly free!

A taxi is the best way. He can take you up the hill all the way. And get the drivers cell so you can call him or tell him to pick you up and an hour or so. It's not a long tour.
