A piece of history, The current bridge to the castle was a moat in the past. Beyond the bridge is a well, covered as it is no longer needed. There are multiple flats in what used to be the entire caste. I believe one of the flats is an Airbnb. The horse rings are still present in the ground opening. It was used as a garage until most recent, is used primarily for storage. The views from the balconies of the top flat are phenomenal. The stairs are original rock the castle was carved into, They are steep and winding, Most recently, a railing was added on. Unfortunately, the inner part of the castle is now off-limits to tourists. My elderly uncle frequently had his door knocked with tourists requests to enter his home to see better views or ask him historical questions. There were to be 3 level vats used for wine, These were broken down when no longer in use. The wood sold for a great price. Of note, water is pumped up to the top of the village; hours of service 7 AM to midnight. Plan ahead for possible need. Except for the inner access. There is still a lot to see. In the area just outside the castle, there is a large terrace that offers overall, some beautiful views & photo opportunities. For an old village, it remains well-populated. . Itf s just amazing...
