Lovely

What a lovely late afternoon meal - varied interesting and tasty menu, nice wine list, local and branded beers and fantastic friendly service. we had our 2 daughters with us and they could not have been more accommodating. We had to sit outside because of the pandemic the marquee was heated and blankets were provided - it was lovely and toasty.

Wow, best roast beef EVER

Can’t find fault in this pub at all. Very friendly attentive staff, clean, cosy and welcoming. The food was off the charts!
Rare, sirloin roast beef that melted in the mouth and crunchy vegetables. Yummy desserts. Will def go back

A very nice place to while away a couple of hours

On a cold winter's night there is nothing to beat a roaring fire and that's what you get in The Queen's Inn Bar. Not only that but you also get an equally warm welcome from the staff. The decor is also interesting; large 'wine cork' stools, barrels for tables and easy chairs with coffee tables. There is also a good choice of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. It is a very nice place to while away a couple of hours

Could do more

My wife and I visited the Queens with our dog with a view to eating at the pub. As usual, the area to eat with dogs is the bar area but the seating does not facilitate eating. The tables are either low or upturned barrels neither of which make it easy to eat from. The pub itself is decent and it has a great fire place which I am sure is excellent in winter but I would recommend normal height tables for those wishing to eat here.

Excellent meal and service
Oct 2018 • Couples
We only stayed for a main course, as we were visiting the nearby cinema. But will return for a further meal. Excellent service, delicious meal, beautifully presented and served. Recommend the salad Nicoise, the ingredients were so fresh, with two large pieces of tuna on top.
The bar on entering was cosy and welcoming. We felt a little more subdued lighting/ candles in the restaurant in the evening, would give a warmer ambience.
But the seating was comfortable, and we certainly enjoyed our visit.

Very nice food and superb service at this comfy, attractive pub. A very homely menu with good variety. Everything was fresh and nicely presented. The staff were smiley and helpful.
Thoroughly enjoyable meal at a reasonable price.

Great place for a pint

Popped into the bar for a drink. Served quickly with a smile.

Great seat outside in the sun to drink. Prices were reasonable for the area and the toilets have a real touch of class about them.

One of the better places for a beer in Hawkhurst.

Lost its Spark
Aug 2015 • Couples
This place was good a few years back but the management no longer seem able to muster up the friendly welcome and attentiveness that make customers feel special. Locals would meet up and the place was packed. Alas no longer. The bar and restaurant are often empty nowadays and the menu rarely changes. What happened to the specials board? It's a nice building but sadly lacking atmosphere and buzz.
