The highlight of my trip to China
Mar 2015 • Friends
My father served in China during WW2, so I grew up hearing about this place. It was incredible to see it in person, and the Chinese have done a beautiful job with the museum and the cave. My father took shelter in those caves when the Japanese were bombing, it gave me chills to be able to stand there myself.

American Volunteer Group Crashed in Maoer Mountain
Jan 2013 • Couples
As far as I know,American Volunteer Group(Feihudui in Chinese) is a group aim to help China fight against Japanese in WW2.
Unfortunately,1 or 2 planes of the group crashed when passing the Maoer Mountain, and they were never sought out a trail untill two Chinese farmer found them by accident.Rumor says, the two farmers were catching wild frogs when they saw the plane wreckage. They immediately informed the Chinese government and were rewarded later. Finally they were appreciated by American gov. and got a job in American.
I bet that they were the first and only farmers sent to American at that time. It's a great honour of them and China.Hah
