The SIX BELLS WOODCHURCH. It is once again a first class pub, the owners and staff are all friendly and very pleasant. I have been using it on a regular basis. We thought Ray and Ange were difficult to follow but the new owners are very close. Genuine nice people. Had a Sunday Lunch and it was excellent. I will say no more now please visit and judge for yourself.

Arrived with 3 other friends to have drinks. Upon arrival had my Id passed from each bar maid then onto multiple customers to check if it was right. I am 21 and I get it’s challenge 25 but I look older than my age and this was just unnecessary. The staff were rude and whispering between each other, clearly a small town pub not welcoming to new comers. Given mouldy lime and a dirty glass ! DO NOT COME HERE GRRRRR no wonder this sold for less than half the asking price lol

Oh dear. What ill wind blew us to this godforsaken shore! Very grumpy staff, no welcome , hardly any service. Stale baguette, poorest quality scampi, comically bad coffee. So much potential and a lovely setting but guaranteed to ruin your day if you are in need of lunch.

Stumbled upon this pub one weekend when looking for a proper village pub and was not disappointed. Banter at the bar, friendly locals, prepared to chat to a stranger, 3 different cask ales to try, TV in one bar for the rugby, open fires and what looks like a good menu too (did not try sadly). Will visit again

Friendly and attentive staff good beer and good food. What more do you need in a pub. After a long period of missing Ray & Angie and getting hit and miss service it’s nice to see the Bells getting back on its feet.
They won’t get very fat from what I spend but I am sure the trade will increase.
As an ex publican I know the difficulty’s that they face. High rents etc. So I wish them every success.

My partner and I enjoyed our visit on a warm, sunny, Saturday afternoon.
The pub is full of character, in a lovely location and the staff are friendly and welcoming. We had the six bells burger and cannelloni, both of which were plentiful and cooked perfectly, in good time.
Thank you particularly to Bernice who with her friendly bubbliness behind the bar is a real asset to the team.
Will definitely be back soon.

Six of us booked in last night ( Saturday ) .. Straight away greeted by Abbie with her big smile and warm , welcoming personality 😃 how lovely , and how well she looked after us all evening. Terrific menu choice covering just about all tastes and very reasonable prices. (A great item is the 5oz steak for £7.99 one of us had that and she said it was cooked perfectly to her liking.). A lovely touch here is that you are brought a comlimentaty , home made “chip and dip “ as an appetiser to keep you going until your meal is served. Our visitors were well impressed ! In fact they were impressed by everything. The food was all fantastic , well cooked and presented and enjoyed by all. After we’d finished the Chef came out and spoke to us and we were delighted to see it was our favourite Chef Dom , who we thought had left ..welcome back Dom and please don’t leave again ! .. reccomended 😊

We stopped off on our day out with our 2 sons age 14 and 7.
We where warmly welcomed buy Helen and Keith.
The food was great and was in a good time as waiting to long with kids is a nightmare.
Lovely garden and a walk to the local windmill.
Highly recommend this pub and lovely to see a new management couple that are passionate about the pub and customers.

Visited this pub on a rainy day. Was great to be able to take our little dog in with us - she loved drying out by the open fire. Lots on the menu that we liked the sound of but opted for the beer battered cod and chips and the lamb chops. Amazing food. The white chocolate and lemon cheesecake and chocolate brownie desert were also lovely! Staff very friendly also. Nice to see a pub putting on clubs etc to encourage people in. We would definitely go back and so would our doodle!!!

We visited this pub for dinner after trying the one next door the previous evening and were not disappointed. Admittedly not everything was on the menu but my wife had the chicken special and I the Cajun swordfish and they were lovely (all reasonably priced too). We returned the next evening and both ordered the minted lamb chops which were plentiful and very tasty. The chef popped out for a chat and we complimented him on the meals we had eaten over the two evenings. I believe the pub had changed owners recently and we had a nice conversation with the new owner, telling him his quiz night questions were rather challenging (they hold one on every other Tuesday evening) but the food and ales were very good.
