Two floors with a wide range of all sorts of collectables, antiques and bric a brac to interest most people. The usual style of unattended individual trader units with a centralised cash desk. Friendly staff and lots to consider. Prices obviously vary in value according to stallholder. Set in a lovely old mill beside the river.

Absolutely loved this antiques centre. Has apparently over 100 dealers offering a really varied selection of antiques and retro items - truly something for everyone. Be warned - you need at least a couple of hours there to truly take everything in. I can't wait to go back again especially as I now know where to park.

Re visiting afer several years out of the area our impression was that there is more what can be described as general bric a brac than before, but there is still quality and good value to be found at some dealers if you know what you are looking for and at. The maxim caveat emptor should be observed and if you are in any doubt, walk away. That said this is still an interestingPleasant and rewarding place to pass some time and purchace an item or two.

Visited this centre for many years but it’s not what it used to be having changed hands. Indifferent staff and not even willing to give any different price to what’s on the ticket so it’s just like any high street shop….no negotiation on any of the items I wanted so I walked out with nothing. It used to be a friendly establishment but not any longer.

Arrived in Halstead and made a beeline to the Antiques centre , fabulous place for a browse , not overpriced and easy viewing. Bought a pair of Art Deco picture frames and over the moon with them.

We happened upon this place whilst driving through Halstead and thought we would take a look.
From the outside it’s tired and rundown and seen better days. Inside is two floors of various items bric a brac some interesting items but overall quite disappointing unfortunately, but friendly staff .

A one way system now introduced to look at lovely antiques & a whole range of retro & collectable items being shown in small alcoves, cabinets & on shelves. Be aware there are several stairs to climb. And no cafe found here.

Halstead Antique centre is well worth a visit. A wide range of Antique and Vintage Items over two floors. You would be hard pushed not to find something you just can't live without. Prices to suit all pockets. We drove up from Islington in North London and managed to buy several items. The two ladies that work there on a Friday were very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. They could not have done more to help us. We will most certainly be going back soon.

Be careful when buying jewellery here.
The shop is large, and has a whole lot of vintage goods, you could look around for quite some time.
I bought a Sapphire and Diamond ring for nearly £500, upon taking this to my jeweller to be sized, he assured me these weren’t Diamonds.
I went back to return the ring (and was very polite considering I was missold, and had to drive an hour to get there) the lady behind the counter didn’t apologise once, or act surprised!
When I was given a receipt for my refund, it had VOID across the bottom in large writing, when I questioned this, the lady actually rolled her eyes at me and huffed!!
I felt so uncomfortable that I accepted it and left, only to be left with no refund of course.
After waiting 5-7 days to check the money hadn’t gone in, I phoned and went through a series of calls, was told a handful of times I’d be called back and never was. This went on for weeks!
No-one ever called me back, I had to phone and phone, even got hung up on a few times! Never was apologised to, and my money was nowhere to be seen.
After a couple of weeks, the lady dealing with it, Vicky, decided she couldn’t speak to me about it anymore as it has been handed over to the accountant.. the accountants name couldn’t be given to me, nor his number, nor could I be transferred! No one gave me my money back, or wanted to speak to me.
An absolutely disgrace of a company, who have no respect for their customers, or their money. Miss selling goods, with zero customer service.
It’s was an absolute nightmare!
After weeks, opening a small claims against them, and refusing to leave, the owner FINALLY got involved.
He told me ‘he actually doesn’t have time to phone customers’ - how charming, I wonder how many are trying to get in contact for their money back.
Made me send my own bank statements, rather than going through their own (which they could of done weeks ago? Or should of realised that same night that the cashing up didn’t match). He finally accepted my money hadn’t been returned and reluctantly gave my money back.
If you’re happy to test the Diamonds yourself, and spend weeks fitting for your money back, then enjoy! Otherwise I would avoid this place at all costs.

Can you tell me where the nearest Car Park is pleases ?

Halstead, United Kingdom
We have a small car park at the Mill.
Turn off the A131 on to Kings Road ( it's a mini-roundabout by an Esso petrol station), then turn left on to Factory Lane West. Almost immediately, turn left by the pedestrian crossing on to the Causeway. Turn right immediately into the car park at the front of Halstead Mill.
Give us a call if you get lost - 01787 474451 and we will guide you in!
