On previous occasions I've used the impromptu Bar on the Ground Floor au route to the Studio. Tonight I found the permanent first floor Bar and Lounge - very comfortable with pleasant Bar Staff. There is a further room off the Lounge where an exhibition...More

For a small town venue, Pocklington Arts Centre really punches above its weight. The regular comedy nights are no exception. December's show was compered by John Davey ("I, Daniel Blake") and had a good variety of acts. This place is a real draw for the...More

An amazing evening showcasing national and local talent. The professional orchestra company "Sinfonia Viva" provided their own repertoire as well as the music for the local community singers (Primary School pupils; adults from Stamford Bridge; and the "Wolds Wonders", a group of adult Special Needs...More

Probably my favourite place to see live music and comedy. Good seats, great sound, nice staff, excellent acts and they even get the big names these days. Well worth a visit.

Virtually all parking is on-street in Pocklington so getting to the Centre early is advisable. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants if you need to kill time. The Centre has its own bar.
