Lovely place. The kids loved it and enjoyed looking for things in the garden. The cafe has some amazing cakes and really good prices too. Love the certificates for those brave enough to climb the lofty heights of the light.

Absolutely loved the light house museum, going to the top was an amazing experience. Plus for the price you get to learn loads of fun information.

The tea room is lovely, we really enjoyed sitting and eating in the gardens.

I’d highly recommend going and showing the volunteers some support.

Only £3 to enter, 144 steps to the top and its not a easy climb but the views are worth it! Tea room reasonable too so overall a great experience

Well worth £3 entry

Well worth the £3 entry. Fantastic views from the top. An interesting museum attached devoted to Kay Kendall and also local history. A nice garden attached to the cafe for a drink before and after you've been up the light house.

Disappointed it was shut with no proper reason!!

Except for a small sign on the gates after you had parked up and reached the lighthouse. Nothing on TripAdvisor to advise the same. Very disappointing why they cant reopen and put the usual self-ditancing measures in place...you re simply ruining the tourism in Withensea.

Withernsea Lighthouse was closed during the 2020 season due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Hornsea and Hedon Museum’s, and the Bunker at Holmpton also remained closed. Some public funded museums reopened following the lockdown period, however, social distancing measures are difficult to apply in older buildings like ours, for example - sanitising a handrail 144 steps high after every visitor is completely impractical. We haven’t been able to welcome visitors this season, however, we have kept the Tourist Information Centre open to the public throughout the pandemic to support tourism in Withernsea and the surrounding area. Please note, we are not generally open to the public in late October at the time of your review.
