We saw an old brochure for the Roxy, and wondered if it still existed. We investigated, and found that it did. We decided to go, no matter what was showing, and we booked tickets. No credit card needed, no advance payment, just word of mouth. How refreshing!
On Friday evening, we headed off and arrived at 8pm, half an hour before the film started. It was so cute!!! There's a lovely little box office, and a welcoming young man in a Fez. With two adults and 2 pensioners, it was just £20 entrance fee!
We proceeded to the small bar at the back and ordered drinks from the inexpensive selection. We were also told that if we wanted another drink during the film, "just help yourself and leave the money in the tin!" I haven't seen that for a while. How lovely!
The cinema had vintage, comfortable chairs, good picture quality, and pretty good sound. Oh, and the film, the Danish Girl was brilliant too.
What a great night in a fab little place. Thanks to all the volunteers that keep it running, and for whoever had the idea. Brilliant!

I booked the Roxy for my Daughters 10th Birthday party, and it was just wonderful. Juliet is lovely and very accommodating and showed us how to use the equipment. The children loved the cinema and having it to themselves. I would definitely recommend for a private party.

..although row E, seat 5 may be a little close to the screen. With an auditorium slightly smaller than the comfortably appointed bar, this little neighbourhood cinema is perfectly formed. Charm seems to be in the very [vintage] fabric of the place. Let’s all move to Axbridge.

I love visiting the Roxy! It is absolutely tiny but perfectly formed. I have seen film and comedy there and enjoyed both. There is a good bar and a courtyard area for chattering and beverage drinking. Marvellous place!

I was invited to a birthday film and afternoon tea party at The Roxy. It was a great little venue for about 30 to watch a film and have a bit of a tea party afterwards. The party hosts took their own food and drinks etc but there is also a retro "honesty" bar, kitchen and facilities for all your needs. I had a fabulous time and The Roxy was just an amazing little venue. I can't wait to go there again!

❤️ love this place,I went here on a 40th bday with family and as soon as we walked in I knew we were in for a great weekend. The downstairs living is open planned but has different areas for either eating, cooking, relaxing or playing. The bedrooms all have a unique look & are all spotless with comfy beds. 2 bathrooms ,3 open fires all prepared and ready to light. I could go on and on but u need visit the website. Cinema was a fun night too which we were completely in charge of with our own bar too! Everything in the house u could possibly need.
