We rented a boat (the Swaliga 2) and the crew took us to Pinel Island on a tour around St. Maarten. It's a beautiful island with a great beach to sit on, a beach bar and restaurant and a little shop that has souvenirs for purchase. The restaurant on the island, Karibuni was delicious and the shop was very reasonably... More

...over the hill once you've checked out the disembark/embark side. Arrival side has all the "amenities". For us, we go for the 20 minute walk over to Pinel"s little paradise. If lucky, you'll have the small beach, there, to yourselves. We wear sandels/flip-flops and the walk is never a problem...just use caution on the occasional rocky areas. ABSOLUTELY the coolest... Perfect spot for relaxing and happily doing nothing. This is the ultimate spot to sunbathe, swim, and literally soak up peace.

We stopped there while on a half day chartered boat trip. It was beautiful. The water was calm... we swam and played on the paddleboard.

Been here twice and it's the best for snorkeling and getting delicious food delivered right to the water, via a special table on a stake, they actually put in the water on the beach. You can only get this at Yellow beach with the yellow chairs and umbrellas. Kind of pricey for the chairs. But worth it if you spend... More

A short ferry trip takes you to small paradise with quiet waters (if weather permitting) to snorkel or just relax and float in the water, Chairs and umbrella rentals available, bar and food service. You can also explore the small island and find other beaches for naturism experience.

The island is quite nice but there's not much to do here except soak up some sun, seawater or do some paddling. If you're into just lying around, visit pinel.

The island is tinny and as cute as they can be. There are 2 bars but only one open off-season. Make sure to ask for a bucket of beer in the Yellow bar so they put a table for you in the water. It does not get much better than that: cold beer, blue water, amazing weather. Worth every penny!

My husband and myself booked an excursion on a catamaran to snorkel and visit Pinel Island. The island is very beautiful. There are restaurants and a gift shop. We loved and had an amazing time feeding the iguanas that are native to the island. Our tour guide brought a large container of lettuce and we sat on the rocks, the... More
