During our one week stay in St-Martin, we heard Pinel was a great place to do some "free" snorkelling and sunbathing. It was easy to get to Cul-De-Sac and take the ferry. The only foreseeable problem is that the ferry "operators" decide whether they will leave, depending on the amount of people that are waiting to go. It is a... More

We took a day trip to Pinel last week. Very reasonable and short boat ride. If you like iguana's take some lettuce to feed them, they will love you. Rent the chairs and umbrellas so you can relax. Great service from our "cabana boy"...lol. The water is very shallow for swimming but very calm for relaxing. Great Day

From what I saw, it didn't appear to be a lot to see on the island. There were iguanas walking around which was cool. The water was shallow which would be good for families. There were some fish swimming close to shore but nothing colorful from what I saw when standing in the water. I am spoiled by snorkeling in... More

I have read a few reviews about this little island that seem to vary with the time of year and the price of the trip. This is one more experience. The ferry dock took a bit to find and due to no fault of theirs, I had to make a couple of extra turns to find it. It is easy... More

This a good one day experience. They do hav a couple places to eat and get drinks. The. Each is nice enough, not too many people because you need a boat to get here. Probably once you get here you spend the day. Don't forget sunscreen.

14 of us were in port on a cruise, 7 adults, 2 teens, 1 tween and 4 kids (4-9 yrs old), this was the perfect day trip. We grabbed a cab from the cruise port to the ferry, it was about $9 per person each way, and they did give us a discount for the kids. The ferry was $14... More

Our family just enjoyed our second trip to Pinel Island. The ferry is a quick hop - cash only, dollars or euros, so be prepared. No cars, no traffic, and no overnight guests in this protected nature preserve contribute to a very relaxing atmosphere. The waters are very calm, and the charming French servers can walk you through the specials... More

We visited Pinel Island with my family and had a great time. Just a short $10 ferry ride from the mainland and you find yourself on yet another island oasis. There are two restaurants on the island and an iguana habitat. If you love lobster this is the place to come. They'll serve you as you sit in the water... More

What a great day trip. There were 10 of us that spent the day on Pinel. 8 of us took the boat over and two rented a kayak and paddled over. The water is crystal clear with little to no waves and not very deep at all. We had a great lunch at the restaurant all the way around to... More
