Must go here. Gorgeous beach - no surf. Iguanas who want to eat lettuce and they are so cute. Friendly beach waiters who bring you beer. What else can one want?

We went on a scuba diving trip while staying at St. Martin. We stopped at Pinel Island. The tour guide brought bread to feed the little iguana and we got great photos. Beautiful clear water and a great place to sit in the sun.

We went to Pinel twice on this past trip! It was incredible! Its only a short ferry ride and costs 12$ a person to go and come back. It is a MUST see when visiting Saint Martin. The water is warm and inviting. The locals...More

We really enjoyed our day at Pinel Island; however, spent a bit more than we were planning. Between the cost of the ferry, chair & umbrella rental, food and drinks, it added up. Not breaking the bank, but a little more than other beaches on...More

Nice beach but only tourists, no locals. Plenty of iguanas to see, you won't have to go far which us very convenient with little kids. Staying on a towel under the tree is not an option unless maybe you walk around the island and find...More

Plan a day trip if going there. Take the ferry boat for the short 5 minutes boat ride costing $12 for the round trip. 2 restaurants there are average. But anything goes when you are hungry. Be prepared to part with good monies for beach...More

We took the ferry, which cost $12/person. You can rent a double kayak for $15/person to work your way over there. Just remember you have to paddle back after a fun filled day of beach, sea, and drinks! The beach was beautiful. We shared a 3...More

Great little "get-away" during a get-away to St. Martin! Quick 5-minute ferry ride shuttles you to the island off Cul-de-sac, although some people just kayak over. Two beach restaurants and decent snorkeling, although we just chose to chill on some beach chairs. Food is very...More

Third stop on a 6hour speed boat/snorkel tour. It was a beautiful island with clear water, two beach bars and souvenir shop. Has the largest iguana's that love to be fed!

HI There, I think it was $9 per person for a two way ticket!
What is the distance between St. Martin and Pinel island? I am a swimmer and would like to swim to the island. Is this adviseable? I would be swimming next to a kayak.

I've swam the distance every year for the past 10 years. It is probably 1 mile.
