Green sea turtles, "friendly" sharks, tranquil, crystal-clear water, deserted beach when you go early and off-season. We were told you can see plenty of colorful small fish at the rocky end of the beach, but we did not venture there, as we had plenty to see off the beach. A boat drops you off close to the shore (no pier... More

Our Blue Safaris boat tour stopped here and the captain showed us the turtles (he was good at spotting them) - it was spectacular.

Great third stop on our boat trip around St Marten. Plenty of Turtles and rays, beautiful beach to hang out on. Very unspoiled.

We stopped here while on a snorkel tour, the only way to get here is by boat. We did not go on the island itself but we did snorkel off of it and there was a lot of marine life to view. No one lives on the island and it appears that most of the tour companies go here.

Tintamarre island is definitely worth the trip. The wife and I were on a guided boat tour when we stopped to snorkel here and boy did it deliver! We got to swim with a few sting rays, the wife got close to some barracuda and there were lots of fish. The beaches and water were absolutely perfect.

Be sure to go beyond the beach where all the charters stop. Our guide took us around the other side of the island where we were able to snorkel in the coral reef - there were nurse sharks, turtles, stingrays and a wide variety of fish and other sea life - just don't get too near to the shore or... Tintamarre island is off the coast of the french part of St. Martin. You'll need to charter a boat to get there - easiest from Cul-de-Sac. The island itself contains different types of beaches (sandy; rocky; the east coast even has loads of petrified sponges). On "top" of the island is a former airfield of 600m, too heavy growth to... Tintamarre is only accessible by boat, but it is a favorite destination for many and it can get busy. There are a few coral heads and it is home for a small population of sea turtles which can be viewed, but not touched or harassed. The island would benefit from a more present conservation team. The beauty is its unspoiled... More

A secluded private beach only reached by water. A nice quiet chill time , snorkel, have a picnic and chill lax beach. calm waters and about one hour sail from Oyster Pond on CAT. Waters can be rough with 5-10 ft waves as normal travel from St. Maarten so beware of sea sickness. It is super hot at this beach... More
