My mom and son took a private ride with Vera and had the best time! The horses were very calm and Vera was great teaching/ leading my 8 year old on his own horse. The trail had excellent views of the ocean and two different bays and ended on such a high note of riding the horses in the water to cool down. For non-riders, there’s a laidback cafe and covered patio (with a chatty peacock and all!) along with a beach/swim spot to enjoy while you wait. It was really nice to do something different on the island - highly recommend if you or someone in your crew enjoy riding horses!

My husband Travis and I just spent a week in Sint Marteen to celebrate our birthday. We decided on the private Sunset and champagne horseback ride with Davy Janssen. Visiting with the animals while the horses were getting ready was fun. The horseback ride was amazing, we learned so much about the island, the foliage, the neighboring islands including St Barths and Lucky Stables as we rode thru the hills/mountains up and down the terrain. Davy was very knowledgeable. He also made sure we had pictures and used our phones to take the pictures of us. I rode Prince and my husband rode Indee. We stopped at the Southern Most Point of the Island for the absolute perfect sunset, champagne and roasting marshmallows over a fire provided by Davy / Lucky Stables. As we came back we were able to have a moonlt horseback ride in the Caribbean, seeing the jumping fish. The ride ended by telling the horses how well they did and Rum Punch and visit with Davy and another couple that had a private ride at the same time. Such an amazing experience and so thankful we did this long awaited bucket list activity.

What a great time we had at Lucky Stables. My wife and I took the 1 hour tour and thouroghly enjoyed the tour and discussions with Beth, our tour guide. Both she and the horses (so gentle and clam) were fantastic. The island/ocean views on trail were amazing and swimming in the ocean with our horses at tour's end was a lifetime experience.
Word of advice: Whenever you see "tourist photos" being offered for $40 you might think "no thank you". In this case- I would not pass on this as the photographer (who was excellent by the way) took over 100 exceptional photos of us on horses in the ocean and on beach. They download them right on your cellphone or send you an email with a free app to download the large photo files. Beautiful water and island background provides such memorable photos of your tour. This was by far the highlight of our 1 week trip to St. Maarten.

Overrated at best. We booked this excursion through the cruise line, which included the bus ride to and from. It’s a trail ride on very rocky terrain. And the trail just winds through the 30 acre horse pasture that the horses are turned out in at night. That is what our guide told us. Then you get to walk in a line into the ocean and walk back and forth for a three or four passes..Yes, we did get to see some vistas of the ocean and they of course were beautiful, but for the money spent we expected a little more. Lockers were made of wood, some with doors broken and hanging from the hinges. They give you a lock with one key to use. We would have bought the pictures but they told us $40 for all or $20 for just one. Outrageous

My wife and I enjoyed a private sunset ride on January 13, 2020. Started at 5, finished about 7. Remy (sp?) was our guide.and he was.exceptional. All of the staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful. You ride a very nice trail overlooking the ocean and parts of St. Maarten. Slight hills up and down - no problem at all. The horses were calm and obviously very well trained. We stopped at the top of the hill overlooking the ocean towards St. Bartholomew's - gorgeous! Remy pointed out all of the various flora and fauna, and gave us an insightful view of life in St. Maarten - history, culture, current situation, etc. We roasted marshmallows and had a bottle of champagne. Beautiful! You can ride the horses in the water up to waist deep at the end, but it was a bit brisk that evening and we.decided we'd pass. They have lockers to store your valuables while you're riding, and bar for drinks and/or refreshments before.or after your ride. We have been on several different rides in many countries.over the.years and this was hands.down the best ever! Would highly recommend!

Okay, I was skeptical. My friend booked a sunset horse ride, and the last time I was on a horse, I ended up the ER (true story....). From the moment we got there, the staff was warm and friendly. There is a bar for a pre-ride sip of courage. David was our guide, and was obviously knowledgeable and loves horses and the park. We did some riding up through the hills, had champagne and roasted marshmellows while we watched a beautiful sunset, and the highlight was riding in the ocean at the end of the ride. I was blown away! It went from something I was unsure about to one of the highlights of my trip. Highly recommend!!

This way an unforgettable experience. Initially I booked this for my birthday but due to the rain we had to reschedule, but, it worked out perfect and ended up being our last and final excursion while in St. Martin.

We booked the sunset champagne ride and it was worth every penny.

Check-in was simple and easy. After filling out a waiver form we waited a while only because more people were to join us but ended up being a no-show; which ended up working out better with it just being the two of us plus the instructor.

Although I had never ridden a horse before our guide Danny was awesome ! He was helpful from start to finish. He even took photos of us and gave us a little privacy once at the mountain peak. At the top is where we shared a champagne toast and toasted marshmallows in a fire pit made by our guide Danny.

Since it was just us we were able to stay at the top for a while. The views were absolutely beautiful and not just at the top but along the ride as well.

We even rode through the water so that the horses could take a drink.

I would highly recommend this to any couple or even as a group tour.

We were given complimentary rum punch at the end, as I've learned that's the St. Martin way.

What a delightful morning! Many in our group had not had the opportunity to ride for years so this was a must do for us. Our group of 8 mounted up and headed out for a nice ride. The pace was comfortable for all of us, and the views from up on the hills were amazing. Vera, our guide, shared great information about the area as we rode. I was matched up with Zena, and we quickly became fast friends. The trail was nice, but the highlight for me was going into the water with the horses. I had not done than for years.
I would certainly recommend this for anyone looking for something a little different with great views of part of the island.

We did a 1 hour trail ride and really enjoyed our experience. Our guide Davey offered up lots of info on the native plants and terrain as well as insight on horse ownership on the island.... this was of particular interest to our group which was comprised of horse owners in the States. Those of you who are expecting to ride fat, shiny horses like in the US need to
Understand that these are Caribbean horses...they are smaller, rangier, hardier and more angular than what you might be accustomed to. That said they are well mannered, sure footed, compliant and seem to really enjoy their dip in the sea at the end of the ride.

The tour guide was horrible and rude. I am an experienced rider and was not asked anything about my preferences while riding. She stuck me in the back behind other inexperienced riders that kept make me stop. One in particular screaming at the horses the whole time. ( not fun when you are walking on the side of a cliff ) I couldn’t hear or understand a word she said the entire ride her French accent was extremely thick. She didn’t check on me at all and when I told her I didn’t have a good experience she got mad. ( not my problem) you should asked me if I wanted to be in the back instead you gave me bs excuses as to why. And pretty much made the entire trip unsafe because I had to ride behind those other riders.
