Great walk. Medieval village with lots of interesting panels showing history of the area and many ruins. It feels amazing to walk here as it's so quiet and remote..you feel as if you have stepped back in time.

Fabulous looped-walk around the peninsula. There are a number of ruins and beside each an information panel and reconstruction drawings. The castle can't be entered but there's also the church, harbour, mill, and the remarkable defensive wall that protected the settlement. Wonderfully scenic and peaceful
This is a self guided walk/tour thru pastures of cattle and sheep. Ancient buildings, walls, graves and boat slips all speak to an earlier time in Irish history. Very quiet and peaceful, the woods are alive and the ruins stand in silent testimony.
