Great walk. Medieval village with lots of interesting panels showing history of the area and many ruins. It feels amazing to walk here as it's so quiet and remote..you feel as if you have stepped back in time.

I'm sure this is a fabulous walk for locals but as a first time visitor getting off the motorway this was hard to find. There are a couple of signs in the village of Lecarrow but then the trail goes cold until you pass a...More

Fabulous looped-walk around the peninsula. There are a number of ruins and beside each an information panel and reconstruction drawings. The castle can't be entered but there's also the church, harbour, mill, and the remarkable defensive wall that protected the settlement. Wonderfully scenic and peaceful

Very hard place to find once you get past the entrance gate and lack of sign posting. Parked the car by the gate and there is another dedicated car park 200 meters away but someone has posted warning signs about illegal activity & covert CCTV!...More

For a free activity you cannot go wrong. Out in one of the most remote locations lies the old ruins of rindoon. There's history and beauty all rolled into one. It's stunning. A must do!

I returned to this walk with my young family having had a lovely time there 5 years ago. This time I was so disappointed. Whether due to neglect or lack of funds we discovered that the well marked trail was no more. Most of the...More
