First time surfing lesson. Hard, but lots of fun. I did it with two teenagers, great family gathering. Fantastic lecturer, he really tried to help and was genuinely happy when we succeeded (despite miserable beginning - his words - correct words).

Very poor experience last friday 26/8. Conditions excelent but the instructor was very unprofessional. Just kept away from the water and provided minimum intructions in the after the wave breking zone. It was not commited to go in and really teach.

I took a lesson and the shop owner told the instructor in Portuguese (which I can understand) that I looked like I didn't know anything about surfing so he shouldn't try too hard to teach me. The instructor then pretty much did not enter the water. Avoid this place

Costazul Surfschool is an excellent place to learn to surf, feel safe and have fun all in one. The instructors are all friendly and professionals with a huge knowledge of the ocean. The school has classes for all levels and ages and focuses on the customers needs. I have progressed my surfing in no time and would always come back. I can highly recommend the school, whether you want lesson, guiding, rentals or just hung out, this place is great!!!!
