- José RosalesMaracaibo, Venezuela182 contributionsAn impressive placeA dream fulfilled, energy is felt throughout the park, we went with high expectations and they have been fulfilled. It's no joke about the heat, you have to be prepared, and don't forget to swim in the pools, which are amazing. Without a doubt a great experience for fans of the series.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 19, 2024
- 2000_fishSosua, Dominican Republic56 contributionsGreat Day - Go earlyWe went as a family of 4 for one day. We stayed in Doradal the night before so we could enter the park on time. I can recommend to be at the gate early to allow paying for the car pass and tickets before 9AM. As foreigners we found we needed to have Columbian cash to pay all the time, our cards were hit and miss if they worked and this place did not take our cards. We selected the package that included the victoria falls as we planned to cool off after wandering around the park. Of course we were draw by the hippopotamus and thats what we went to see first. In the lake by the africa hotel and then a couple in smaller pens. We brought our binoculars and it was well worth it to see the hippos across the lake. We were able to buy carrots and the first hippo was not interested, but fortunately the second famous Vanessa was there right at the wall and ate our carrots. Vehicle is a must if you want to get around the park quickly and you can see many animals right from the car. We left early as recommended to not get into any traffic jam and it worked.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 28, 2024
- Reinaldo MBucaramanga, Colombia3 contributionsHacienda NapolesI visited it at the beginning of June, we were very happy, we spent it as a family, the employees were very cordial, normal, good morning, good afternoon, how was it, etc. The prices are some expensive for my perception, water at 8 thousand, a dog at 19 with soda, etc., the facilities are very clean, I stayed in a hotel called Los Colores, spectacular on the road. Something curious is that you can't get a good coffee in the town, a business ideaVisited June 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 19, 2024
- Yeferson Alexan... GBogota, Colombia1 contributionIf you only come for one day, admission is expensive. The hours are very short so it is very difficult to tour the park in a day, however the pass is in force for 3 days. You see animals stressed and locked up and alone which is sad especially in the Amazon forest area. the water zones close it at 3 pm except on Saturday it is at 5 pm which is insufficient if you want to know the park in a single day. In the hippo-watching area do not lose more than 20 minutes, they will never leave the water, if you want to see them you must go to the feline area where there are 2 hippos. If you stay in hotels on the farm or in the Mediterranean (Santorini (recommended) do not pay the 26000 entrance fee of the vehicle and can enter the wet area as many times as they want, also the passport has a 10% discount if you stay in the hotels.Visited December 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten December 9, 2024

It is a nice place to go with children.
The zoo is great!!!
Recommendation to bring cash, it is also important to bring beach shoes.
Bring a cell phone holder so things don't get wet. They charge for the locker and in general food is expensive. There is no shower service or adequate changing rooms, people change in the bathrooms.

The park is right of the main highway so it is easy to get to. The animal displays have a very distict "Jurasic Park" type theme as you progress through the park. the pools are clean, big and have different feels to each one. There are lots of shaded areas, lots of places to sit, but on a busy day it can get seriouslu crowded. In comparison to Medellin and other parts of Antioquia, this place, Puerto Triunfo, is HOT, HOT, HOT, and very humid, so taking relief in the many pools is going to feel fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the "Victoria Falls" pool. It is big, has several slides at different levels, and there are restaurants, watering holes, refreshment stands all over the pools and near some of the animal exhibits. There are souvenir stands all over too for those who like to buy things you didn't bring. As a minimum bring your sunscreen, pool and hand towel, a bathing suit and walking shoes. If you go, I recomend buying the Safari Plus tickets. They are more expensive, but they allow you to enjoy the place for several days as long as you stay in one of the park's host hotels. The tickes are discounted there, they are more or less $40 per person, but worth the price of admision.

I recommend paying for the more expensive entrance, because the Waterfall pool is the best attraction. The lockers are very low price, showers are free. We enjoyed the Waterfall pool for 4 hours after touring the Wild Animals. Bring your own towel and sunscreen.

I had the opportunity to visit the park on January 3, 2025 and unfortunately, the experience was not entirely pleasant. From the beginning there were drawbacks: the main entrance was not evident and we were told that we should buy the entrance handles at a ticket office located further inside the park, without warning that it was more than a kilometer away in the sun of 10 a.m. Since we weren't carrying a vehicle, we had to walk all that way.
Upon arrival at the official box office, the process was fairly fast and well organized. However, upon entering the park, only one vehicle was available that took visitors to a single part of the precinct, and the rest of the tour had to be done on foot. Since the park is very extensive, if you have your own vehicle (car or motorcycle), it is more advisable to go in it. We were offered the option to hire an internal shuttle service, but it had an additional cost of about 15 USD each way between two points.
We kept our belongings in a locker, which cost 4 USD. During the tour of the zoo, I noticed that the animals did not seem to be in an optimal environment: some looked decayed, I would not say ill-kept, but certainly did not look comfortable in their habitat.
Subsequently, we went to buy water and were surprised by the price, approximately 3 USD per bottle. Lunch for two was also expensive, 20 USD per half chicken, as well as having to line up quite a long line.
Finally, as we returned to the exit, the vehicle carrying us lost its brakes and we almost suffered a serious accident, but for the fact that a motorcycle crossed its path and managed to stop it.
In general, under current conditions, I would not recommend visiting the park. There are other parks and zoos that offer better conditions and more accessible prices. I hope that significant improvements will be made in the future. It is not so much a question of cost, but that the value paid corresponds to a more satisfying experience.

The place is huge, the truth arrives with a lot of expectation but what a sadness to see the little animals so careless, some are alone, in a small cage that smells horrible and without food, the staff has no idea about customer service, the park bad signposted, the super dirty pools and you can only use them until 3 pm ah?? In that heat? But the worst are the dresses, the black water is returned and you have to walk with that crap water to bathe and go out again through that place, it smells disgusting and everything is dirty and covered, it is really terrible, incredible that they charge that entrance so expensive and have the bathrooms and the clothes in such a terrible condition, the price of drinks is exaggerated!!, Vanesa never left, instead of leaving the park happy I left full of disgust and sadness for all the animals, seriously has animal abuse, it is not worth visiting, they charge 26000 for each day to enter your cart! And at 5 pm they start beeping like crazy so you get out of everywhere, really bad!

The parque does an amazing job with their website, informing interested visitors of just how special it is and all the animals you will see...however, the experience was far from what was promised. The facility is old and tired, the animal enclosures were dirty and, and it was difficult to see many of the animals. We did not see any Hippos, the water was so dirty in the snake enclosures that we didn't see the Boa. This expefreicne was repeated at almost every animal attraction.
The goat enclosure was very sad...the animals were thin and not well cared for, the elephants that we saw did not look well cared for either...very sad.
The food...oh my god, very poor choices and the quality and selection was very disappointing. ALL of the restaurants are owned and operated by the Parque, so there was/is no incentive for any of them to provide a good eating experience with quality and freshness.
My impression is that the parque just wants to convince you to enter and spend more $$ on food and additional tours, with no effort on really providing value for money.
And it does not look as though the owners have invested much money into the facilities over the years...its tired. Save you money!

BAD PLAN. We were with an elderly person and two very excited children. The entrance about 600,000 pesos. A long wait time for admission, the capacity of the place is impressive, a crowd of people, thousands of lines, the pools excessively full and of course cochinisima, people with problems in their skin inside the water, children are diapers, the animals ill cared for and stressed. For the departure, we lasted about 2 hours inside the park before managing to hit the road. FATAL, lousy plan!

Take the tour from Medellín in order to get to know the place with the name "hacienda Napoles" and learn some of the history of the Escobar farm, however when you are there, nothing remains of the history, everything was demolished and destroyed. I don't recommend it, traveling 5 hours to go swim in a pool doesn't make sense. If you want to learn about Escobar's history, better take the Pablo Escobar tour in Medellin.

It seemed expensive to me for the services they provide, the bad pools, it's only for children, the dangerous attractions but more for maintenance than because they are risky. If I compare with Piscilago, I would rate Piscilago 9 and Parque Napoles 2. Bad, the attention, the prices, the traffic, the contamination to the animals, etc.

My partner and I visited whilst on a very tiring road trip around Colombia. Quite a bumpy drive to entrance. Just the 2 of us, 21 pesos per person, not using the water parks even tho they looked like great fun. Seen hippos, elephants, ostrich. The end of the line brings you to hacienda de napoles, which in no way glorifies Pablo. It tells the awful tale of the innocent caught up in his mayhem. Would think everyone knows there is million time more to the country of Colombia than him. He’s just a part of his history, which I think shouldn’t be glorified or forgotten. Never to let it happen again.
