The area is rich with cultural and recreational significance and has been granted Tōpuni status “A symbolic cloak of protection”.<br><br>Your guide will show you around, if you like you can have a go at bouldering and test your climbing skills, or use your time here to explore the endless maze of boulders. We stop here for lunch at Castle Hill.<br><br>Afternoon - Cave Stream<br>It will take us approximately 45mins to make our way through the 594 meters of the limestone cave. Our route follows the crystal-clear water through the winding chambers and small waterfalls. <br><br>Not interested in caving? Nom problem your welcome to explore the paths and trails in the area or sit and relax with some afternoon tea in this very peaceful landscape instead of going through the cave.

We are so blessed in New Zealand to have beautiful bush walks. Fantastic walk and I was stoked that I completed it. They say it’s medium level, personally I would rate it medium-hard. I’m vertically challenged height wise and some of the steps were a tad difficult to navigate.

A challenging walk ! Lovely woods with exposed roots, stairs, rocks to scramble over, bluffs and caves. Quite a fabulous experience and great for nimble feet. A bit more challenging for less agile people. Great views over the Canterbury plains and the falls were lovely. Well

A truly beautiful walk, nice track and good views! Take a picnic and make a day of it. You do have to pay cash on entry. $20 an adult $10 child this is because it’s on private land for maintenance.
