A visit to this amazing castle is a must, it is an unbelievable place in such great condition considering its 700 years old ! wonderful experience, loved it!

The castle is nice from the outside... Very expensive for what you get. Mostly for children. Very poor English explanations. Guided tours were in Dutch - the cashier told us we must attend because some of the room are locked for self touring. Over all a very bad experience not recommended for couples , kids might enjoy it.

A castle with a lot of history attached to it. After more than 700 years in existence, it still looks the part. Restored to its appearance in the 17th century, this castle from the Middle Ages has a lot to offer. History buffs can check their facts about a real castle real time. You can take a guided tour, engage... More

Didn't have a lot of time, but I'm glad I went and spent 30 minutes there. It was interesting to see an old fort of this style and size (it's surprisingly small). Seems like a good place to take small children. There's a garden that a lot of children were happily playing in.

We went here as part of a tour done by Avalon river cruise, Our guide spoke English and the tour of the castle part was also in English. The castle tour guide was awesome and the castle is very interesting. The gardens were beautiful and have plants from the period of the castle. We really enjoyed this castle. Lots of... More

I only knew about this castle because it was suggested to me by a booking site on the bottom of the screen, but I'm glad I came! If you have more than 2 or 3 days in Amsterdam, it's definitely worth it to come here as it takes less than 20 minutes by bus from Metro's "Amstelstation" plus a well-signposted... More

This is quite a hoof to get to - it is accessible by tram and ferry but we took a taxicab for convenience and it was 60Euros one way. The castle is quaint and interesting but doesn't take more than a couple of hours and the cafe is very disappointing so we went back into Amsterdam for lunch. It is... More

Unable to enter without paying full price of €13.50 for guided tour, which is only offered in Dutch. Pleasant, well kept grounds & authentic furnishings within the castle itself are nice. 85 steep spiral steps lead to the tower offering only views obscured by plastic "glass". Glad to have visited once, but have no reason to return.

We got to the caste a bit late (cycled all the way from Utrecht) and made it just before closing time. Luckily they still allowed entrance, but we had to run through which is definitely not recommended. I DO suggest doing proper research in advance on the activity of the day and making sure that you get there on time.... More
