Very pretty and interesting castle! We visited a few rooms (they call it a museum) and we had a great English speaking guide. Pictures were allowed and it was really worth it. There are a few nice activities for children but not for our 3 year old yet. Still do stop there it is well worth the visit. Also we... More

If you are bored and not sure where to go during the weekend from April till October, come to the Muider Castle. It is not that big or fanciful, but it has a very interesting history and worth reading and exploring. The place is windy, but the castle itself is fine. It is so peaceful and has a spectacular and... More

We got the IAmsrterdam cards which Muiderslot is free to visit with. We decided to make the most out of it and cycled from the centre of Amsterdam to this castle which took an hour each way. It was worth every bit of it. The weather was remarkable, like a little summer, and we cycled on an embankment next to... More

This is a fantastic outing for families or adults alike. Such a great piece of history, well kept with interactive exhibits. Unfortunately they did not offer an English speaking tour when we went, but it was the off-season and they had reading material so that was good. A must see, I recommend visiting this site to anyone!

Very nice area and a cozy little town. We visited the castle in March. Unfortunately we couldn't get into the castle as it was closed, but we enjoyed a little walk around.

Went on a wet Saturday but that didn't disappoint us. I had it planned out to propose to my Girlfriend here having looked up the images online. Great scenes and unbelievable setting.

Unlike many castles I've been to you're able to actually explore the castle on your own. A big plus in my opinion - the cost is 17 Euros a person, but you get to walk around the entire area surrounding the castle as well as the rooms, towers and small dungeon/jail. There's lots for things to learn about the castle... More

Such a well preserved castle. The city is so calm and not full of visitors. Be prepare to walk a lot but you´ll be amazed of the beautiful city. There´s a bakery close the castle where you can buy delicious desserts such as macaroons, brownies, bread, etc., and enjoy it with a good cup of coffee. The Castle on the... More
