There used to be many local seafood restaurants and it was an evening hot spot for working class locals, playing loud music from their cars and bringing their dates in the evenings. After the bridge colapsed and was rebuilt, now it is quiet. You can sit on the rocks and look at the sea, take a walk and donate to a small temple or two there. It is primarily the pier to go to Koh Si Chang Island. This is just a tiny spot you can walk around in 5 minutes, now with no restaurants and nothing to do but relax. The short drive or walk on the bridge up to the Roy is is nice.

To begin with, the proper name for this attraction is Ko Loy (ko or koh meands island in Thai..
Ko Loy is a small island just 300 meters off the coast of Si Racha, a coastal town in Chonburi Province.
It has a beautiful Chinese temple and commands stunning views back to Si Racha town and out across the Gulf of Thailand, where there are usually dozens of freight ships at anchor, waiting their next cargos.
Ko Loy is connected to the mainland by a causeway.
If you are planning on visiting Ko Loy you had better put the plans on hold for a while because the causeway is currently closed for massive renovation and reconstruction.
The workers on the job today told us it will probably be another two years before the causeway is reopened.

Since i had just missed the ferry for ko si chang, I had an hour to check out the place...cool temple with a view, giant turtles in a pond, basic but good value seafood restaurants (well more like wooden shacks by the sea, but what counts is the food in your plate right?)
All in all a place to enjoy a relaxing hour...

This was one of the main attractions of Sri Racha. Two temples and pond of patiently suffering turtles and a plethora of Seafood stalls and restaurants.
climb to the Temple in the middle and you are rewarded with views all along the coast. it was also the starting point for the ferry to Koh Si Chang.
As far as I'm aware there is now no public access to the island for 2 YEARS!!! - that would mean May 2018.
PA - this is not the first time the causeway has been closed for repairs.

This place is where you go to board the boat to go to Koh Si Chang. 50 baht per person. Leaves hourly from 8 am to 8 pm.

Visited early evening on a Saturday.
Cars and buses parked alongside short road from mainland. Very fortunate to find parking space close to temple. Very impressed with handicap ramp accessing elevated viewing area. Handicap friendly public attractions appear to be a low priority in Thailand. Watching the sunset from the seaside viewing area was a beautiful and peaceful experience. Check internet for less busy times to visit.

Ko Loi is a strip off Sri racha near Laem Chabang. It was difficult to find as signs are not clear from the main road. I was driven by a local with friends returning home after many years.
The development around the island is lovely when in tourists season but off-peak the stalls are closed off and quite
deserted.
We were looking for a place to eat but off-season nothing seemed to be opened.
This place is a bit beaten off from foreign tourists. But, scenery is lovely to walk around nonetheless.

Best place to see beautiful sun set. There are Thai Buddhist Temple and Chinese Buddhist Temple. Also this place is a pier to Koh Si Chang Island. Very nice to walk along the long bridge. Can drive to island, but people narmally park the car at main land and walk. Not recommend to visit during mid day, too hot. There is also local park at the main land.

Abandoned temple, what a pity! A new road was built to connect to the temple instead of taking a ferry in. A long walk under the hot sunny sun didn’t reward us. Could tell that this place has been abandoned for a while. However there are still locals & tourists taking a stroll to take photos. To me, not worth the visit until if they are reopen.
