Rogalin is a palace located about 10 km from Poznan and it is perfect place for afternoon or weekend walk. The palace has been recently renovated and is open for visitors for a small fee. Outside you can enter beautiful garden (french style) free of charge. Rogalin is very nice place to visit, if you are looking for something off the bitten track near Poznan.

The palace in Rogalin was built in the years 1770-1776 for Kazimierz Raczyński, a royal writer, and then the staroste general of Greater Poland and the royal court marshal. The interiors of this late-baroque-classicist residence host a museum, focused on the history of the Raczyński aristocratic family. Behind the palace extends a French garden closing with a mound, from which formerly stretched the view in the direction of the Warta River. Surrounded by picturesque gardens and park land, the Palace of Rogalin is one of the most significant examples of Baroque architecture in Poland. In this 18th-century palace located 30 km south of Poznan you can also see the "London Cabinet" , which is full of tokens of remembrance : old furniture, family photos, London address book with the hand-written telephone number of Winston Churchill and many others taken from London, 8 Lennox Gardens, where Edward Bernard Raczynski, President of the Republic of Poland in Exile spent 26 years of his life. The exhibition also includes a coach house and Painting Gallery. The painting gallery located in the building from 1910 contains collections collected for forty years by Edward Raczyński . The gallery has in its collections the works of such artists as: Olga Boznanska, Julian Falat, Aleksander Gierymski, Jacek Malczewski , Jan Matejko , Leon Wyczolkowski, Stanisław Wyspianski, Albert Besnard, Maurice Chabas, and Paul Delaroche. After exploring the glorious gallery you can walk through the Palace’s landscaped park . It is one of Europe’s largest oak groups. Many of the trees are several hundred years old. The most famous three, however, of amazing circumferences, are those named after the legendary Slavic brothers. Those are Lech , Czech and Rus . The tour in the Palace interiors can be accompanied by a rented audio guide . The number of tickets for the day is limited. A beautiful place, a friendly staff. A very pleasant place for a family walk. Nearby there are quite a few parking spaces, both paid and free. Definitely worth visiting.

We took the train to Mosina and then realised there were no taxis, but luckily an uber was available for the 15 minute trip to the palace (around 7 kilometres we were told).
Tour numbers are limited in the palace, so on arrival we immediately booked the next available tour, around an hour later. In the meantime we went to the restaurant, which had helpful English-speaking staff and a good selection of quality local meals. We had good coffee and Polish cheesecake.
The palace tour was excellent, just the right length, and a good audio guide (we had the English version). The rooms have been beautifully restored with EU assistance.
After the tour we had a look around the gardens and the magnificent old oak trees.
Then back to the restaurant for a late lunch. We particularly enjoyed the potato rostis with chanterelle mushroom sauce, washed down with local beer.
We tried to get an uber to take us back to the Mosina train station, but five or so cancelled on us. We did eventually get one back to Poznan. About 25 kilometres, and good value at around 100 zl.

Rogalin is a baroque Palace of the Raczynski Family from 18th century. Is situated within a beautiful french style park where you can see the famous Rogalin oak trees including the three biggest Lech,Czech and Rus named after the legendary persons from early polish history. The park is a beautiful place for a walk. The palace itself is impressive with a famous art collection.(at the moment is closed due to the renovation).
For the hungry there is a possibility to eat some pastry in a cafe.
When you visit it is good to plan more than only a half a day.

Compared to Kornik castle Rogalin Palace is not worth at all.Management can not organize sightseeing. On midday is impossible to buy a ticket.I asked for it at the box office they told me I must be in a group and they did not predict that day anymore.
Park is very little and not interesting, but Edward Raczynski's gallery is really nice.
The bad experience is because I wasted my time

Due to the value of the interiors, the Palace is visited under supervision of the Museum staff in groups of up to 25 people. Organised tourist parties are split into smaller groups and allowed in at 15-minute intervals. Individual tourists are allowed in groups of up to 25 people at 30-minute intervals.

The palace is beautiful, rich in Polish history. Rooms are magnificent, décor, detail depicting everyday living. Audio tour is very informative and well presented. The grounds surrounding the palace are well kept and also worth visiting. Nearby park contains one of the oldest oak trees in Poland. Very interesting area for spending a quiet day. I do recommend it.

The impressive palace is different in it's guiding approach. The focus lies on the Raczynski family history as founders and last owners. Tour with digital audioguide. Interesting mauseleum and gardens ... although the garden can use some work.

Beatuful palace sourrounded by neatly kept gardens and natural scenery nearby. You cant miss the old, enormous oaks just outside the palace and the astonishing views of the river. It has an enormous amount of mosquitos tho, so beware!

We were aware from the website that the house itself was closed, but the surrounding park was allegedly open. Oops - waste of time until the refurbishment at Polish speed is complete.
