Whimsical art interspersed with more serious art work describes what you'll find here. Lovely jewelry depicting native animals, birds and plants are on display, along with well done art objects that will having you chuckling at the humor displayed. One piece I particularly enjoyed was in the outdoor display area behind the gallery and featured a life sized grinning polar... More

What a sensational gallery. There is enough art and craft to keep everyone happy no matter what your budget. There is jewellery, art, prints, crafts, garden statues etc. There is a great range of items and some beautiful pieces. Absolutely worth seeing if you are in the area - you will not be disappointed.

I was gobsmacked to find such a great gallery in such a little place. Clearly there's a lot of creative talent here. From sculptures in metal and ceramics to paintings large and small and a host of other objects, there's something here to amuse and inspire everyone. As well as the art, you'll find tasteful souvenirs, body products and more.... More

Local artists feature prominently in this modern space. Many media are available from prints and etchings through glass, stone, ceramic and wood and the pieces vary from small, easily packable items to giant metal daleks which you'd need a tardis to carry away.

We appreciate a cooperative store that offers works from all artists, even the small ones. We find that places like this have truly unique earrings and pendants that couldn't be sold in larger stores in town. It is too bad that you have to go so far to find such a collection of artists' work, but Little River is a... More

Small gallery adjoined to the Little River cafe. Courtyard has quirky sculptures. Good selection of jewellery, craft and paintings/prints by NZ artists.

We've been through the gallery twice in the past 2 months. Little River is a great wee place to stop for a break on your way to or from Akaroa. The Gallery regularly has different artists exhibiting. They are local in that they are from New Zealand but not necessarily from the immediate area. There seems to be a variety... More

Nice shop and gallery along with a tidy eatery that is perfect for the family on a quick stop. The gallery always has something of interest even if you don't buy.
