Karaca Cave (Turkish: Karaca Mağarası) is a network of caves located near the town of Torul in Gümüşhane Province, Turkey.
It’s my second visit to caves in two days.
Karaca Cave is rich in dripstone formations of many different shapes and colours, including stalactites, stalagmites, and travertines. There are also many cave roses located on certain of the travertines and stalagmites.

The cave is on top of a mountain ,the car would stop down,and then you will have to walk about 1 km to reach there ,photos and mobile phones arenot allowed you can put them outside in a private closet.The cave is nice and has these strange formation ,a lot of drops of water will hit you which is nice,it is not a long one.Nice experience

I have seen such Caves in TV, but this time for real. My wife and I have the chance to tour this cave, entrance fee is 8 Lera per person, we are not allowed to take Cameras or cell phone in side the cave. We entered the cave and first thing we saw was some thing really dreams. The curves and the shaped in side the cave is just fantastic art by the nature, I have to say "Subhan Allah" every minute. I do highly recommend everyone to visit this place when never they are in Trabzon.

It is a little out of the way, but it is worth visiting if you have enough time. It has a huge cavern and lots of stalactites and stalagmites.

Not worth the visit due to:
1. small

3. camera and mobile phones are forbidden
4. Nothing new or interesting
5. No bathrooms or any services
6. Electricity may cut off at any time and you have to wait the generator in the dark

Karaca Cave is quite unusual in my experience as it is at the top of a quite dry mountain. Of course you also find springs at the top of other mountains in the Kaçkars so perhaps caves in such places are not so unusual.
Karaca Cave was very newly discovered and is in pristine condition. Unlike other caves I've visited in Turkey there has been extremely little or no "souvenir" taking so even the most delicate formations are fully intact.
While the area open to exploration it is particularly large it is extraordinarily rich in every type of cave formation. While I can't be certain of this it appeared to me that two distinctly different chemical processes are at work--the first of which is the common one that takes extremely long periods of time and a second which produces formations relatively quickly--perhaps even at a pace akin to human lifetimes.
Photography is not allowed inside the cave.
Keep your eyes peeled for a strange little formation that looks exactly like the minaret of a mosque to include the balcony! I am utterly clueless as to how it formed.
The last 200 meters or so of the road to the cave is currently under reconstruction so expect a modest hike for the reasonably foreseeable future. It may be possible to get reasonably close to the cave using public transportation but if so I would not expect it to be very infrequent.

It’s a nice place but you do need more than 30 minutes to see all of it. Also be careful if you have kids or elder people, it’s slippery.

The cave location is easy to reach from Gümüşhane or Trabzon. I suggest to add this destination if you have plan to visit Limni Göl or Zigana plateu. Also it is recomended to visit the cave during mid day. The cave is very cool inside, so it is nice to visit it during the hot summer day get some cooling sensation inside. Since some area of the cave is inaccessible the cave isn't big so I suggest spend some time to walk no hurry just to enjoy the view and the cooling sensation inside the cave. The calcium carbonate inside the cave also has healing effect for asthmas
