We were there during an extremely dry spell. The weak and old herbivores were suffering quite badly, we really saw the survival of the fittest. However that said, the experience was unbelievable. We booked our trip with Pathway Safaris and the proprietor was our guide, Andrew Mweti is his name. He and our driver William went out of their way to ensure we saw as many animals as possible. The diversity in both landscape and wildlife was almost overwhelming. Definitely one of our bucket list trips. Will definitely go again but will try to see the park when there is more vegetation.

After several hours of driving and viewing animals and beautiful birds, my tour guide/driver picked the right spot to enjoy our nice lunch. The walk up the hill wasn't too bad. Fresh air welcomes you as you ascent the hill and the spectacular view tells you " it's time to stretch your legs, enjoy your box lunch and have a sip of hot tea". That's what we did. Sat at the edge over-looking the view of this place and relaxed awhile. It was a bit windy but that didn't stop us from just enjoying this place.

We had our breakfast here one morning. Great views after a short climb up the hill.

There is some very informative signage if you want to take the time to read it.

There are clean restrooms near the parking lot.

It's a quick five minute walk up to the Observation point. The view is amazing. Unfortunately, there was massive cloud cover on the day we went, but I'm sure on clear days the view is stunning.

While on a game drive out in the Amboseli NP we voted to get out of the vehicle to stretch our legs and made the short walk up Observation Hill for some fantastic views of the surrounding area. Spotted a hippo near by but best of all for me was admiring the majestic Mt Kilimanjaro just a short distance away. I was due to take on this challenge the following week so I was paying my respects.

The path up Observation Hill is an easy one, though quite a few easy steeps, not too steep. Not wheelchair friendly though there were walkers with mobility sticks and they managed just fine. Once at the top there are lots of infographics and signs with geological and historical information. Great education for kids and adults alike.

Definitely recommend making the effort, the rewards are worth it!

After maneuvering through herds of elephants sometime so close to our vehicle we could only whisper, we arrived at the Observation hill. The climb to the top was quite welcome after sitting in the vehicle for so long. Our mixed group had lots af fun and we took some stunning pictures.

If you have the opportunity to go to Observation Hill, I recommend doing it! It was breathtaking up there. Viewing the game park from that height was just amazing and gave great views of the animals down below. We also had lunch and the tables available and it was enjoyable. The pictures you will take up there will be awesome!

Nice location for a picknick. We were around here with hyenas around the base: no problem at all. There was even a little yellow crested something wild life on the top! And the views are marvellous with mount Kilimanjaro in the distance and all the wetlands aorund the hill!

great place to view the park expanse. It is the humans having picnic there make it dirty littering boxes from resorts. Visitors please take care of cleanliness of this location. Great place for great pictures.
