We drove from Nice to Torino and decided to take a scenic route through part of the Mercantour Park. The museum is in a quaint little town. The exhibits show the history of the region. Most of the information about each exhibit is written in...More

We visited the museum because it had excellent reviews. We were not disappointed. The entire family learned a lot in a very pleasant way as everything was displayed in a modern way. The little museum covers a lot and we were blessed with the extraordinary...More

The explanation of the history and meaning of some of the primitive rock art was very useful. Having visited the Vallee des Merveilles some years ago, I had not really much idea of the background of this impressive art that has withstood the thousands of...More

Remarkable exhibition of early rock art from this area. Brought to life by interactive exhibits. The building itself is a work of art and there is s friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

To be honest , we are not really museum people, but we went to Tende on the train, so decided to pop into the museum. We were given a very warm welcome and a brief introduction to the layout and off we wandered. I can...More

Having taken the train des Merveilles from Nice the first place we visited on our arrival in Tende was this small museum, containing much about the history of the area. Entrance is free and it is a good introduction to the locality
