This park has wildlife and nature mile after mile. You barely meet other tourists while hiking and there is plenty of lakes and trails to choose from. Clean nature. This is Finland as authentic as it gets. A real gem.
Nature, red ochre paintings from pre-history, and granite cliffs. Pristine lakes and gorges. One cannot forget the blueberries. Hossa national nature park offers great hiking paths through the Finnish Northeast Region, in Kainuu and Kuusamo area. Easiest access with a car from Suomussalmi or Kuusamo.
