My family and I went for the day, we had a blast on the beach and enjoyed ourselves immensely. However when we ate at one of the fish joints we were flabbergasted by the bill. $234 for lunch!!! The food was delicious but definitely a ripoff. We ate at Gloria's in Port Royal the other day and had a very... More

When you go, if you can ignore the parking guys, just park yourself because they will try to get you to use their food hut. walk around and choose one, get the price first before ordering, in fact get prices from a few places as they vary widely. The escovitch fish is great and so is the lobster. Best lobster... More

One of the popular beaches in jamaica. Not the best but still great experience. It is wavy and there is seaweed/garbage floating around. Best part is the food that is available at restaurants right on the beach. Great seafood and especially the oysters are amazing. Sold by the "oyster man" with homemade sauce that is to die for. only 300... More

The water is nice and clear, but it was a bit wavy when I was here. It's a bit out of kingston. The atmosphere is ok, with a bunch of fish fry shacks along the beach. The beach itself is narrow, lots of damage. A fish lunch is going to set you back, Dont think that just because it is... More

Being raised in Jamaica, everyone knows about red snapper and parrot fish, lobster, shrimp. especially when they are straight out of the ocean, laying there for you in an igloo to choose from. :) Always great atmosphere and wonderful service from our friends selling to us on the beach of Hellshire. I would recommend here to the world!

Hellshire Beach is one of Portmore's popular Beaches and is usually very crowded especially on public Holidays as there is no entry fee! There is No secure Parking or change rooms but upon arrival you rushed upon by the locals almost forcing you to park in a certain place & then forcing you to pay them to 'watch' your car??... More

It was probably once a nice beach. Now there's only maybe 3 feet of sand, then water. I was disappointed in this trip. Fort Clarence is the best beach in Kingston. Don't bother wasting your time going to Hellshire unless maybe for the food.
