It was probably once a nice beach. Now there's only maybe 3 feet of sand, then water. I was disappointed in this trip. Fort Clarence is the best beach in Kingston. Don't bother wasting your time going to Hellshire unless maybe for the food.

Beautiful day totaly ruined by the greed of of the people demanding $1400 per pound for fried fish, one fish each with festival $10000 ...... will never entrtain that again. Cooked in shack over driftwood fire.....please stop looking for the quick $ and look to teturning customers

One Wednesday a group of us rented a bus and headed off to Hellshire Beach with the intention of enjoying a day in the water with lots of rum punch and Hellshire's famous fish. What a disappointment .... it's nothing like we experienced during a visit several years ago. The mangroves and trees have nearly all gone, the beach is... More

Place to visit is Prendy's on the beach. Saw this on eat around Jamaica and it was a must visit for me. The food is fresh and the care they give in preparation makes it even special. I mentioned that I am there because of what I saw on "eat around Jamaica" and that I expected the same care and... More

Take a taxi to the beach. Fort Clarence Park and Beach at Hellshire is a favorite for locals and visitors alike. It is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and there is a small entrance fee. Once in there are changing rooms, showers, toilets and lifeguards on duty. Put in your lunch order on arrival so you... More

Fab local beach, great atmosphere and quiet. During my time on holiday this beach was my haven when the heat became unbearable.

The beach is non existent there are fish shack everywhere and they charge a lot of money for the food which is prepared with locally sourced ingredients. The place is a bit intimidating as there are a lot of vendors, so I would recommend travelling with a local only. The food was good but I might never go for a 2nd... More

The food is always good but the aesthetics of the place is very poor. Too many shacks on the beach oh where is the beach again!? The beach was a great disappointment. Besides the food the beach is the only other reason for visiting Hellshire but that is gone. Fort Clarence here i come, but they need to clean up... More
