Wow, what an amazing experience! Before booking I was a little worried about how safe we would be, but I quickly realised the passion and expertise in the staff at Krabi Rock Climbing and knew we were in great hands. Our guide, Pon, was fantastic. He was quickly able to set us up and put us on climbs appropriate to our level, with beautiful views over Phranang Beach. Despite our climbing experience he double-checked our safetys every climb which was excellent. There were a few groups climbing in the same area but we barely waited for a turn, and we noticed that some of the guides from other companies were a lot less attentive/safe than ours. I'm so pleased we booked with KRC and we'll definitely be going with them again when we're next in Thailand.

I wasn't planning on climbing during this trip vacation, but on the last minute I booked a private half-day climb for the the next day and rented all the equipament from them. Although I was concerned about not knowing any sector or famous routes on Railey, the Krabi Rock Climbing guide took me to participate and guide (on my level) some amazing routes in 2 diferente sectors, with gorgeous view of the beaches.
I totally recommend this opportunity of climbing. Take the full day if you can endure it, the multi-pitch if you can afford it, and the group top rope climbing if you don't know how to climb yet.

My G/F's son and I wanted to go climbing, he's 23 and a very capable fella, so we contacted a very friendly Tar, who arranged for us to have our own guide for the morning. He even went so far as to give us an earlier than normal start time due to us departing that afternoon. Our Guide was extremely professional, knowledgeable and polite. A great sense of humour as well as being an excellent climber. He matched our capabilities with some excellent routes which, by the time we had completed 5 was enough for both of us. Having over 15 years climbing/mountaineering experience, I would have no hesitation in recommending KRC to any prospective climbers, experienced or not. Their level of expertise is first class and safety was always a primary consideration. The variety of routes in the area will challenge all but the hardiest of climbers but the contrast is that there are some very easy routes to get the newer folks started. Good job KRC, keep it up!

I had a great time climbing with Krabi Rock Climbing, I walked up to their office in the morning and arranged for a half-day session that afternoon. I got paired up with some other climbers and we were led by a really nice guide. He gave us a good variety of climbs for our skill levels and belayed us until we couldn't lift our arms :).

Had a great time with this outfitter. They are patient and help guide you if you get stuck since they know all of the spots and hidden pockets. It’s one rock wall and about 8 climbs going on at the same time. Different climbs have different level of difficulties. We did the half day and got in 4 climbs. They can pick you up from your hotel in Ao Nang and will get your return back to Ao Nang by boat.
The boat drops you off by the Holiday Inn on Ao Nang. There are no ticket booths on Railay Beach so you will either get a return ticket or they will give you cash. Just know a long tailboat won’t leave until they get 8 people. There are also different companies running these boats. The guys with the purple shirts are the ones who take the blue return tickets so they get 8 people quicker. You could be waiting a while with the guys with the blue shirts.
While on Railay Beach, make sure you check out Phra Nang Cave Beach. July 18

Wonderful rock climbing experience with Ta! Very thankful for his arrangement. It's superb! Although the weather was good and bad, Ta has shown us many interesting places to climb and he is a very fun person which we really enjoyed a lot. The most unforgettable expression from Ta which is very motivating is always:"Oh My Buddha!".
During the trip, we are in a group of 6 people with different levels and Ta has arranged quite a few very experience instructors with us to belay and guide us. One of them is Victor and he is very knowledgeable and always being patient to improve our team climbing skills and outdoor knowledge. He is also very observant and we feel safe throughout the session.
Definitely would love to climb with them again 👍🏻

We booked a 4 hour beginner rock climbing experience for our family and had a fabulous time. Our guide Saran was friendly and gave us excellent instructions about climbing and safety. The climbing area was busy with many groups from various climbing companies, but all the instructors worked together to ensure all groups had access to climbs. It was an amazing feeling to reach the top of the climb. Each time, Saran would call up to remind us to enjoy the view before we came down. After focusing on the rock wall while climbing, it was exhilarating to turn around and enjoy the awesome view from high on the cliff!

I had a brilliant 2 and a half days climbing with Krabi Rock Climbing. Ta, Foon and Mr Dee looked after me, taught me everything I needed to know and pushed me to send climbs I didn’t think I would be able to. I felt very secure and Ta used his 20+ years experience climbing in Krabi to judge my ability level and tailor the experience to ensure I had fun and pushed myself.
After the first morning climbing top rope I was taught the basics of lead climbing and lead through on the ground practises, a solo lead climb with a top rope for safety and then on to being able to climb lead totally solo for the rest of my sessions. I had originally planned just for two days but once I had finished I wanted to come back for more and signed on for another half day. The walls are amazing, all in the shade and over looking gorgeous views of the local land and ocean.
Whether you are a beginner climber, intermediate or you are just looking for a local belayer with all the wisdom of the walls I cannot recommend Krabi Rock Climbing high enough!
Thanks to the team! I’ll think about Krabi whenever I’m clipping onto a wall.

We loved the beginner climbing with Pock. He’s so patient & I was able to climb way higher than expected with his guidance. I felt safe the entire time, which was initially a concern for me. And Pock was so flexible with the time we had & splitting up the full day in 2 after we were too tired on day 1 to keep climbing.
Definitely do the cave rappelling, that was a highlight!

Hi!
We are experienced climbers. Is half day climb sufficient to fully enjoy rocks there or would you recommend a full day experience?
Will weekday be less crowded?
Written May 28, 2019
If you are experienced you should be able to manage a full day, be aware that no climbing shops are currently allowed to rent out equipment, this is due to people having accidents when not climbing with a guide. Due to this we do recommend booking a guide, and for people with experience a private guide is my suggestion. If you want to make a reservation you can send a booking request through our website, as it is best to book ahead to ensure availability. Regarding days of the week, it really makes no difference here, some days it's busy and other days it's not, if you book private we can however take you to less busy areas.

I would like to book this for a family of 5. How many guests are in each group?
Written November 13, 2018
Normally we only put four people per instructor as it seems this is the perfect number ratio to ensure people get enough climbing in, however if you are happy to just have one instructor for the five of you, then you can pay the regular half day price and be private, or If you are okay to join with others you would also just pay the regular half day price and have two instructors. If however you want to be private and have two instructors you would need to pay for two private guides.

Rain is not an issue as we are lucky to have a great location on the beach that is sheltered, making climbing a good rainy day activity.

Hello what is the cost for a day rock climbing?
Written April 11, 2018
A full day in a group is 1800 THB per person, this is normally with beginners. If you already have experience I suggest a private guide, the cost for a full day private for one person is 4500 THB, but if you have additional people the price is more depending on the number of people. You can go on our website to see what the package includes.
