We have been visiting this beach every year for the last 18 years. We have seen so many changes in the way of 'progress', but still nothing beats that view when you are sitting on the west beach. It is heaven!

This was such a pleasant find. Railay West and East are great beaches with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Rock climbing, scuba diving, snorkeling, hiking, sunsets and great food. We were only planning to stay 3 nights and we stayed 8!

We heard all the fuss about Railay beach so thought why we are in Krabi we can't not go! We got on a longtail boat to the beach which was 400 baht - perhaps a little over priced considering how short the journey was. However...More

I loved this beach! We arrived early via a longtail boat and had a lovely beach day. Take a walk to East Railay and then to Phra Nang beach which is even more spectacular.

We were only supposed to stay for a few days on Railay Beach and decided to extend to 10 days instead. We loved it here! The beach is good with lots to see and do. The food is hit or miss depending where you go....More

Stunning surrounding scenery with the limestone cliffs. Beach itself is mostly nice sand with some areas a bit coarser sand and tide goes really far out. Nice beach to chill and relax on

The beach itself is beautiful so idyllic. Probably has the least rocks in the water compared to the other local beaches. If you took a snorkel you will find plenty of cool fish etc by the cliff

We got a long tail boat ride to Railay Beach. The cliffs and islands were pretty but we were put off by the boat traffic coming in. We wanted to just relax. We decided to walk to Phra Nang Beach instead to avoid the crowds.

Echoing the above - the long boats are the typical transport. As others have mentioned, these are on the "roughing it side". While that's one reason I enjoyed it, be aware that these are not the same as the luxury boats... More

The climb to the viewpoint is very steep, almost 80 degrees or more. I did it on the spur of the moment in flipflops! The view is spectacular - you could see both East and West Railey. Dangerous climb over rocky terrain and... More
