About
Anggrek Putih offers half day cooking classes & garden tour every day from Monday to Saturday. Classes consist of a minimum of 2 people to a maximum of 7 people. Experience the different flavour of "Indonesian cuisine" and learn about the local products. From spicy local "Lombok food" with hot chilies and herbs to the sweetness of Javanese food made with fresh coconut milk, palm sugar and peanuts. The courses are conducted in a personal relaxed atmosphere in English or German by the Indonesian owner. Our cooking classes commence daily at 11:30 am and are a fun educational and enjoyable way to learn about the Indonesian food and culture for the whole family. Bookings are essential. Hotel pick-up is included in the area of Senggigi ,batu layar,mataram,kerandangan, Mangsit.

The garden will put you in shame for the first time I saw such a well maintained garden. The kitchen is large and airy and is spotlessly clean. The food we all cooked was delicious and there was plenty of food to eat after we finished cooking. Dewi also sent us photos and lots of recipes. We met some interesting people from around the world so it was a very sociable experience and would definitely recommend! This fun cooking class was one of the highlights of our stay in Lombok.
Chris, Dewi - plus the lady who also guided us in preparing the food, the driver who picked us up, the chap in the background / kitchen, made everything run so smoothly. Great team work!
It was a beautiful sensory experience. We got to see, touch, taste, smell the healthy, fresh ingredients from the garden tour allowing for a 'hands-on' experience from the very start.
We also enjoyed the lovely company of others. Chatting, cooking and eating together was a great way to spend the afternoon. Everyone contributed to the very relaxed environment, we didn't feel rushed and we all learnt something new- to include how the food is expertly presented. We highly recommend this wonderful culinary experience. You won’t be disappointed!

We found the cooking class from our resort Quincy villas
Amazing organic garden all ingredients fresh from the garden to our workstation, our instructor Dewi , she answered all our questions, very calm , polite.
Total in our group was two another couple total six , we cook 10 dishes from scratch, no canned food here all fresh.
All in our group we been amazed with the massive garden you must witness!!!

The class has been a wonderful experience, we each prepared a dish that we later tasted together, Dewi and Salma have taught us how to prepare all the dishes step by step, all the time pending and helping us. The vegetables, vegetables and spices we used were from their own orchard that we were previously taught and the rest of meat and fish products ultra fresh, the site also had it clean, a wonder to cook in such an extremely clean place also each preparation we had finished were already cleaning, what an organization for the number of people we were cooking. Chris picked us up from our accomodation at Puri Mas right on time. We drove through the town of Senggigi to arrive at the guest house. What a magnificent place, we were blown away by the array of fruit bearing trees and plants. Chris was happy to answer all of our curious questions about the fruits we had never seen before. We were then greeted and served by Dewi who had prepared a delicious welcome drink.
We loved the tour of the garden and all the natural ways they keep the bugs off the plants, no need for sprays or any bad stuff. Had so much fun cooking all the food and sharing our spoils with each other at the end, definitely come hungry for this one.
Great fun, good laughs and a memory we will cherish forever. Thank you Chris and Dewi for the awesome time.

Highlight of our trip in Lombok! We had such a special experience while doing the cooking class! The day started with an on time pick up from Qunci Villas by Chris who brought us to his place! In front of the cooking class there is a very nice garden with a lot of vegetables, herbs and fruits! Before preparing the food, we visited the garden to see and smell the vegetables and fruits! we prepared 10 dishes, both salty and sweet! There were all tasty and delicious! The instructor was very patient, helpful and she was explaining the recipes clearly. We enjoyed a lot the time that we spent here and we learnt much about Lombok culture! For me all cooking classes should be like that! Thank you Chris for this beautiful day!

Picked up from our hotel by Chris who took us to their beautiful home about 10mins away in Sengiggi. It’s a wonderful home within stunning gardens, Chris happy to explain all about the food we are about to eat and more. Dewi is the pro in the kitchen and easily shows us how to make each dish. Excellent English, great company and highly recommended. Such a great experience for those who love cooking and even for those who don’t and want to try something new. Don’t miss out!

Joined the cooking class the next day after my snorkeling trip to explore and learn Asian Indonesian food. The whole process was fun and friendly and at the end we all had a wonderful lunch. The cooking class is taking place at Anggrek Putih eco resort, the place is crisp and clean with wonderful landscape. They even grow their own produce ! A must do when visiting Lombok, highly recommended !

We saw you! Turtles, the best corals, seahorse in a very remote area.

And for free pick up is around Senggigi and Mangsit area
Payment with cash and credit card is acceptable, only master card and visa, but have addition surcharge 3%.
So our suggestion better pay with cash.
