We had a fantastic time on the 3 tours organised by Mr Muhammad Ali, with our guide Umar on the Gili Nanngu and North waterfalls. Umar was really knowledgable and passionate on the snorkelling trip and always great company. The Northern waterfall trip included trip to local morning market as well as a traditional village visit, all well guided and supported by Umar. With the various additional or extended activities both trips turned into 10+ hour full days at no addition to the already reasonable cost.
Muhammad and the Lombok Expeditions team are truly great hosts and we finished our trip with a final competitive airport transfer.....highly recommend

Arli took great care of us for our visit to Lombok, driver and snorkelling guide were great company for the duration. Spent the day Island hopping/snorkelling followed up by an immaculate lunch to end our tour. Arli was very responsive to queries and with only 1 days notice he had everything sorted for us at a very reasonable price... highly recommended👍🏽

We thoroughly enjoyed our tours organised by Mr Muhammad Ali. We also hired a scooter for the week. We went hiking at Pengansingan to see Mount Rinjani at sunrise followed by treks to the famous waterfalls at Sendang gile and our guide Lefi was helpful, kind and knowledgeable... with great English! Later in the week we went snorkeling at Gili Rengit, Gili Layar and Gili Nanngu in the south of Lombok with our fabulous guide Umar. Such pleasant days! Mr Ali also treated us to a very special traditional meal in his home to celebrate our wedding & honeymoon too!! At the end of our trip Mr Ali organised a boat for us to Gili Air. We would definitely recommend Lombok Expeditions. They are not necessarily the cheapest although we found their prices around what is to be expected... but they are trustworthy, knowledgeable and safe. They also know the hidden spots that aren’t so filled with tourists- which we much preferred!!

Rented scooter with him and seemed very kind and charming and so we agree to book boat with him to Gili Meno to help support his business. He offered a couple options and we ended up paying 600k for taxi and boat tickets but when we get to boat ticket office we were just given public boat ticket which actually only 25k, accounting for taxi of maybe around 150k leaves quite a lot and we were told by locals that he was quite deceitful with us and definitely charged way too much. There was some drama with scooter rental as well, which I was inclined to let slide but pretending to be sincere and offering to help with the boat tickets but in reality just trying to make money off us left a sourness that I really didn’t like.

We rent scooter from him, over charge us but it’s okay. He want to take scooter back after 2 day but we pay for 3. Later he over charge us for ferry ticket (600k rp) for two people but normally only 25k + 150k for taxi to port. Act friendly but do not trust him. If arriving from Bali to Bangsal you can rent scooter easily at the port with many options available.

I been a day panorama walk to Sembalun lawang whit ali guide and driver for US.
Wee been to same pleace in Sembalun Lawang and Muhammad very help full for this tour..
Ali team very good..

I have used scoter rental service from Lombok Expeditions several times over many years and the service is great ! Always new scooters. Well maintained and clean, so always pleasant, reliable and safe to use, even for longer trips around the island. In addition, a good daily rate that will not break your budget. Lombok Expeditions are easy to find, just right opposite all the restaurants on the main street. Good servce, good deals, well done.

The hotel was going to charge us a lot for a standard Gili Island tour, we decided to recce what was available in town and chanced upon Lombok Expeditions. Ali was very patient explaining to us our options, then recommended we go somewhere a little more secluded and less touristy. It involved a longer road by land (1hour) and a shorter boat ride (10min). The price was reasonable for a full day tour and we were only required to pay a 50% deposit.
The next day, a new guide, Omar, fetched us promptly at our hotel at Qunci Villas and took us on the scenic drive. It was a beautiful day and there were many opportunities to stop for instagram-worthy pics.
We picked out our equipment at the boatpoint, and took a traditional sampan out to Gili Nanggu. The water was calm, they explained that it was an area protected from the open seas which was soothing to amateur snorkelers like ourselves.
The only problem I have is the amount of trash on Gili Nanggu, we had arrived at low tide and there was durian skins, plastic bottles, plastic bags, diapers lining the shore. It was totally unexpected and very sad to see the state of this 'secluded' beach. The snorkelling equipment was also faulty, I was stranded for awhile before being given a new working set.
The other 2 islands we went were Gili Sudak and Gili Kedis. We had lunch at Gili Sudak in a simple restaurant hut. They served us fresh fish, so fresh the flesh melted in our mouth! Too good. We asked for kicap ABC, coke and coffee Lombok and all were available even though the island looked barely populated. Gili Kedis is a tiny island, with a man-made swing for sunset watching- totally instagram worthy! Again, just ignore the litter and try to avoid them getting into your photos.
Overall I enjoyed the Gilis Island Hop with Lombok Expeditions, we were given the liberty of taking our own time exploring each island, the guides with us were friendly and showed us the wonderful sea creatures like starfishes and jellyfishes (small ones that were not poisonous).
The place has so much potential- its a perfect island escape. Perhaps the fact that it was not touristy meant there was no proper cleaning routine, would have been so much better if it was cleaner and better-maintained.
[Note: I would not recommend this place for families with children, its very secluded with minimal facilities like a toilet or changing rooms.]
Enroute back, Omar acceded to our requests to stop for souvenirs and also a nice Nasi Padang dinner before reaching the hotel around 8pm. He even recommended a place for spa and allowed us to stop there on the way to the hotel to book a slot for the following day. Lombok Expeditions is very professional, flexible and friendly and priced reasonably. We even booked our airport transfer with them!

I booked two tours with Ali; the waterfalls tour and the Nanggu islands tour, and both were amazing. My guide Juan was informative and looked after me very well, and my driver Faisal very safe and careful on the roads. The waterfalls were stunning, some of the most beautiful I have seen in all of SE Asia. The trip to Nanggu island also takes you to two other islands that can only be reached by private boat. The islands are paradise with white sand and the clearest water. I really enjoyed the snorkelling there, it was my first time to try it and Juan made sure I knew what I was doing and looked after me. I saw so many beautiful fish! The lunch stops on both days served great food and catered for vegetarians. I had a fantastic two days and would really recommend this company! (They are located on the main Senggigi road and also have a laundry service I used which was very good also.) Thanks Ali, Juan & Faisal!

Ali and Omar were both great to deal with, they organised two day tours for us at a good price - Gili Island snorkelling and trip to the waterfalls. They picked us up from our hotel on time for both tours and took care of us from start to finish, including the drive to destination, boat trips, stops along the way and lots of information and laughs! We also booked our airport transfer with them too, because they were so punctual and we would be happy to deal with them again next time we're in lombok or recommend them to our friends.

We went on the 2 day 1 night expedition to the crater rim. The service was amazing. All of your tents, sleeping bags etc are carried up by a friendly porter and the meals included were extremely tasty! Spaghetti, Nasi Goreng and Noodles. The tour guide was extremely friendly and was a great help showing us where to put our feet on the tricky walk down. The view from the top of the mountain was unreal and completely worth the challenging trek up. All in all an amazing experience!
