Nokrek National Park does not fall under Cherrapunji at all. It is in Garo Hills in Meghalaya itself....this reserve is inhabited by numerous animals, including the red-panda, Asian elephant, tiger, marbled cat and pig-tailed macaque....famous sites in the park include the famous Nokrek Peak, Rongbang...More

Close to my grandfather's town Tura, is Nokrek National Park. It takes about an hour to drive up to this place. But the road from the highway up to Nokrek which is about 8km is a pretty dangerous road without any hard cover. So there...More
