It was taken over a few years ago. It has always been a favourite of ours but the last few times we have played have been fantastic. The course is busy which is testament to the quality of the greens, fairways and staff. Always helpful and full of good advice.

The clubhouse is lovely. The rental clubs are good. The golf carts are clean and new. The course is in very poor condition. The majority of the time our fairway shots were on dry dirt. The greens were extremely slow. There was no water to drink on the course and no refreshment carts to offer such either. It was a very poor value for the price we paid.
We had planned to eat lunch and have drinks on the lovely deck. The lady at the bar told us to seat ourselves at a table on the deck. There were 3-4 tables occupied with people eating and or drinking. After waiting 15 minutes without being waited on, we left.

My wife and I were on holiday in Nerja,and it wasn't a beach day so we went over to Baviera around 2pm.The pro shop staff was terrific.They outfitted me with a wonderful rental set of clubs (all brand new Taylor Made)...better than my clubs at home. They let my wife drive around in the cart with me.She took pictures of the Parrots while I played, The course was in very good shape and a pleasure to play... I would say it was one of the highlight of our 10 day tour of Spain and Portugal.

A very good golf course,
Well looked after
The office staff are very good and helpful.
The shop is well stocked and has everything you would need
Just a few small points to make the course even better.
Overall, the tee boxes are not great,
There needs to be a level fairway pathway from 10th tee to 10th green.
The 12th hole fairway, needs re sloping away from the baranca
Spoils a lot of cards.
The restaurant could do with more experienced staff .
Overall, keep up the good work.

Played here on October 4th , the course is poorly looked after , very poor value for money . Easily the worst course I have played in Spain .
If this course were in Ireland you would definitely not pay 60 euros to play it . If your on holiday and looking for a good round of golf and have time to drive a bit further then definitely drive past Bavaria

I have played the course many times and really enjoy the challenge. My wife and I popped in for lunch today and the food is excellent and good value.

If you happen to be around Velez, unless you like to drive miles and miles, this is the only course. But it's a jewel. The course is fair from tee to green. Thinks get more tricky once on the green to hole the ball. Some water in play, but carries are manageable by high-handicappers. Twilight fare amply allows to close the 18 holes before sunset, on time for a splendid meal of fish or grilled lamb chops in their well appointed restaurant.
Fortunately --as senior citizens-- our buggy was given the red flag allowing 90-degree driving on fairways. Otherwise, we would have suffered or given up the buggy.

The rental clubs were really great but the course was not in the best condition. The main caddiemaster was also really unfriendly and we did not felt ourselves as welcomed.

Been here a few times over the years. Golf course in the past has been adequate the restaurant very poor and the halfway house/kiosk/cabin rarely open. Recently under new ownership and course has improved greatly....especially the greens. The restaurant has been refurbished but the food is rather hit and miss. Basic facilities at the kiosk. Both restaurant and kiosk a bit on expensive side. €2 for a very average coffee in a paper cup at the kiosk for instance. Green fees are expensive for the area. In my opinion better deals and better restaurants at nearby Anoreta. The new owner had made improvements but if he wants to compete with other surrounding courses he needs to up his ante. Prices are far too expensive

I visited Baviera Golf club today with my 15 year old son. I was very disappointed by the experience. The saving grace was the manager who was very helpful. The golf club has been sold and bought by a new owner and subsequently the club was only offering golf. No restaurant, no half-way house. The place was completely deserted and seemed like a ghost-town. The pro-shop was open and located in a huge newish club house with no human life in sight. It was somewhat eary. The course itself is short and forgiving and the greens are well maintained. There is a good driving range facility. Taking all into account I was surprised to be charged the full fee of €93 for such a limited experience. Left feeling cheated. Until this club is fully operational, I will not return!!

This is a question for the golf staff really.
My son and I are coming over in January and would like to play the course with hired clubs, we do not have official handicaps though. is this going to. E an issue?
