Traveling through Catalunya at Spain it´s such an amazing experience. Reviving all the medieval history watched on the hill with those incredible buildings, it's absolutely overwhelming. There is a place surrounded by the astonishingly beautiful mountains of the East Pyrenees in the spanish land, the little town of Set Cases. Right in the route to the ski station of Vall Ter 2000 is this lovely little town with its very traditional stone houses. It´s easy to find the adorable store Ca la Nuria, specialized in organic honey, all type of nuts, chocolates, home made candies prepared with the finest honey in the area and all kind of souvenirs. The most delightful product it´s their honey... so good! This special honey it´s made by them with their own cultivated honey bees. The qualities of that honey it´s well known in the area. The secret of that delicacy is the special pollen from the flowers of The Pyrenees. That pollen gives that honey some unique and almondy flavor. I warn you, if you visit this place there is a big risk of falling in love and wanting to come back, exactly as I do. I dream with the day I can come back and taste again that unforgettable sweetness.

There’s plenty to choose from this shop with a nice outside decoration. You can find many different homemade dairy products, like catalan Mató, cheeses and chocolate, including some delicious homemade chocolate cookies. You can also find many different type of local souvenirs. You are also well received in the shop and well attended. A must stop when passing through Setcases.

What a gem! This is an Aladdin’s cave of all of those Spanish goodies you cannot find in your local delicatessen. The proprietor is friendly and helpful and he speaks English. We bought amazing honey, the quality of which you cannot find in the UK. We bought dried porcini mushrooms and porcini powder, not cheap, but far cheaper that in the UK, we also bought cheeses and a lot of lomo (cured ham) of a quality that is impossible to find back home. The place is stuffed with so many tempting things to eat. There are also artisan products, including some kitsch. My wife bought two pairs of sheep leather slippers, better and more unique, than at home. We spent around £110 and came away with smiles on our faces. Best of all, you can buy the products on-line.

An absolute gem of a shop with everything in it piled high. Friendly genuine Catalan owners and a large range of souvenirs and local produce. The locals all shop there.
