The Basilica of St Martin de Tours is a majestic sight on top of a hill as one goes to the center of Taal Town. It is said to be the largest church in Asia, and has been built on the third time (the first church being destroyed by the volcanic eruption and the second by an earthquake). Unfortunately we... A must when visiting the town and offer a prayer. Situated in the heart of the town and just a couple of walks going to the restaurants and shops. Be creative to take a shot with this gigantic basilica.

We admired the facade of this beautiful church as we approached it. Once inside, one will notice the beautiful chandeliers. As you get closer to the altar, you'll notice the shimmering silver surrounding the tabernacle. As you make your way to the side, there is a tiny chapel. We went up to the entrance leading to the bell tower but... More

Basilica St. Martin De Tours or the Taal Basilica is located in the town of Taal, Batangas. It is the largest church in the Philippines and of Asia. It was destroyed twice, once during the eruption of Taal Volcano and earthquake. The interior of the church is stunning. It was shaped of the cross. You may ask to come up... More

You have not been to Taal, Batangas if you have not visited the Basilica of St. Martin de Tours which is a major landmark of the town. This grand display of the country's Catholic faith is considered to be the largest church in the Philippines and in Asia, standing 88.6 meters (291 ft) long and 48 meters (157 ft) wide.... More

The basilica is one of the oldest and biggest churches in the Philippines (founded in 1878 if I'm not mistaken). Parking space is a little bit limited (we arrived a little late and had to park in the basketball court across the street. There is also a parking lot for motorcycles on the left side of the church. The church... More

You will not enjoy visiting taal if you were not able to visit the basilica. Though they have entrance fee of 50php i guess they require it for the maintenance of the basilica

Fusion of history, sacred and yes, Koi pond. 😄 After going to church, you can drop by the museum to see some religious display & snap some pic on the belltower. The belltower will give you a pretty view of Taal.

Magnificent cathedral the largest in Asia well maintained by the Knights Templar and Free Masons It even has a statue of Mary Magdalene A MUST see The only thing is that the Department of Tourism has done nothing at all to boost any visits by tourists as there are hardly any signs on how to get there
